So where Wentz has done well, that's in him and where he is doing poorly that is on the OL?

He needs to hang onto the damn ball better...his fumbles have to get trimmed way down. Other than that, it’s hard to complain about his performance...especially coming off major injury.

If you think that Wentz at 8 is too high, that's fine. But you can't say that he is playing worse that 2017 when he had MVP-like season.

2017: 60.2% completion, 253.5 yards/game, 33 TD, 7 IN, QBR 101.9
2018: 70.7% completion, 298 yards/game, 13 TD, 2 INT, QBR 109.6

In wins: 69.9% completion, 819 yards, 7 TD, 2 INT, QBR 108.0
In losses: 71.3% completion, 969 yards, 6 TD, 0 INT, QBR 111.0

The offensive line took a huge turn backwards since last season. LT Jason Peters came back from injury and played great in the first game, but has been below average since. RT Lane Johnson was arguably our best lineman, shut down every top pass rusher last year, but has had a terrible seasons thus far. He's now out with injury. Starting LG Stefen Wisniewski has been benched. Wentz was sacked 28 times in 13 games last season. He's been sacked 21 times already and is on pace for 56. He has had 5 lost fumbles, but the offensive line has also been Swiss cheese this year. Also, first and second string running backs are out with injury and the team ranks 20th in rushing compared to 3rd last season.

Pick apart his stats at your leisure, but Carson Wentz is definitely not the reason why the team went 3-3 over the last 6 games.

Don't try to talk rationally on Wentz with these people. They live in a fantasy land where he's not great. It's a fan defense mechanism.

He's ranked over 12 starters. That's the main thing fans do not get.
There are a lot of poor QB's in this league and it is very hard to find young ones who are ANY good.
They have Goff 6th but let's be honest, a number of QBs could succeed in that offense with that boat load of weapons.
That Rams team is by far the most talented in football.

They have Wentz 8th and there is where I sharply disagree Wentz was phenomenal last year but this year he has taken a large step back making some bad mistakes that led to his 3-3 record and his QBR has fallen 11 points. He has 7 fumbles in 6 games which means he only has 1 les TO total than Dak in one less game. But he is passing it more for a lot more yards.

Rookies take spots 31.23.28.27 IIRC.
I don't see it. He's recovering from a couple torn ligaments, and missed nearly a year. The games that I've watched this year he looks every bit as good as last year, but the team has taken a step back and his protection is nowhere near what it was last year. I try to be fair when judging him, but I was a big fan of his when he was in college, and also a big critic when Jerry didn't go get him in the draft.

Carson Wentz is doing things no quarterback has ever done. And he’s doing it coming off an ACL injury that ended his 2017 season, eliminated his 2018 preseason and kept him out of the first two games of the year.

Wentz goes into the bye week having completed 71 percent of his passes for 1,788 yards with 13 touchdowns, two interceptions and a 109.6 passer rating in his six starts.

The dude is a human stat machine, so let's take a look at the numbers!

1. Wentz on Sunday in London extended his streak of games with at least one touchdown and one or fewer interceptions to 21, tying the NFL record set by Matt Ryan of the Falcons over the 2015 through 2017 seasons. For the sake of comparison, the next-longest current streak is Philip Rivers’ nine-game streak.

2. When the season began, Wentz ranked 36th in NFL history in career completion percentage at 61.5 percent (minimum 1,000 passes). Just six games later, he’s moved up to 18th at 63.3 percent.

3. Wentz has completed 66 percent of his passes in all six games he’s played. Only nine quarterbacks have ever had a longer streak of consecutive games completing 66 percent of their passes.

4. He also increased his career touchdown pass total to 62, fourth-most in NFL history by a quarterback in his first 35 games, behind only Dan Marino (81), Kurt Warner (75) and Matt Stafford (65).

5. Wentz against the Jaguars became only the second quarterback in NFL history to fashion a passer rating of 115 or higher in four straight games with 30 or more pass attempts. Peyton Manning did it in 2012.

6. Wentz is one of only three QBs in NFL history (minimum 1,000 career attempts) who’s averaged fewer than 1.9 interceptions and more than 4.9 touchdowns per 100 attempts. The others are Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers.

7. Wentz is the first QB in NFL history to open his season with six straight games with 66 percent accuracy, at least one TD pass and one or fewer interceptions. Only Drew Brees has ever had a longer streak within one season.

8. In his first 35 career games, Wentz had 27 games with at least one touchdown and one or no interceptions. Only Russell Wilson (29) had more. Among those tied for third is Nick Foles with 24.

9. Wentz’s 109.6 passer rating is highest in Eagles history at the midpoint of the season. The previous high Michael Vick’s 105.3 in 2010.

10. Wentz is riding a streak of 20 consecutive games going back to 2016 with a passer rating of at least 83 going. The only longer streaks in NFL history belong to Manning (24 in 2012 and 2013) and Rivers (22 from 2008 through 2010). The longest previous such streak in Eagles history was seven games by Vick in 2010 and Donovan McNabb in 2006.

In an exclusive interview with Cleveland.com, Jackson was asked if he wanted the Browns to draft Wentz in 2016:

Oh my gosh, yes. Did I like Carson Wentz? Hell yes. He did something that no other quarterback did. I give them three minutes to memorize the book and put on the (white) board. He put it all on the board in two minutes and 48 seconds. I've never had a guy do that ever in my coaching career.

But the plan was never to take a quarterback that year. It was all about trading back to get picks. If you're doing that you've got to pick the right players.

We’ve heard these stories about Wentz before. It seems like a bunch of teams have similar stories about him from that pre-draft period in 2016. The Eagles had the same impression … that’s why they prioritized moving up to get him.

The Browns ended up with a whole lot of players from the trade out of No. 2 in 2016. Like, a whole lot of players. PhillyVoice broke it down earlier this year:

As a cowboy fan when judging Wentz I find it always helpful to see what other people say.

My top 5....

1. Wentz
2. Rodgers
3. Brady
4. Brees
5. Mahomes

Bottom 5....

28. Bortles
29. Tannehill
30. Prescott
31. Rosen
32. Allen

I expect the rookies to pass him soon. I don't count Beathard. He's not their starter. He just has to play due to injury.

No disrespect, but I think he's crediting the defense, not blaming them.
May be he is. I was just commenting on his pas posting history. He’s a Dak hater so he’s poo pooing on the fact that the games have been close.

no, we don't.

he passed for 229 a game and went 13-3 in 2016.
reality is if he passes it better early in games we likely run even more late and his yardage total is among the least important things.

we darn sure need better 3rd down play form him, his OL, and the weapons around him.
The facts are that 18 or 20 out of 32 sucks for the Dallas Cowboys. Today everyone is good and nobody sucks, I get it but it's a big bunch of Mediocre QB play.

I'd rank him a little higher but the second half of this season tells all.

So where Wentz has done well, that's in him and where he is doing poorly that is on the OL?

If he's comparing him to Dak, Wentz was the first pick Dak a 4th rounder.

I’m not going to discredit Wentz because clearly he’s a great player, but lol @ “he’s doing things no other web has done” then listing a bunch of stuff other qbs have done
