I like dumping on Steve Pelleur too. How come no one ever worries about that?

Poor, poor pitiful Q.
JMO, and this might be a bit of an exaggeration, but I doubt many on the board would even remember Steve Pueller. I barely remember his name, much less how he played. My earliest non-Aikman QB memories, might be Steve Buerlein and I could be wrong about when he played.

Post-Aikman QBs are much more recent and probably resonate a bit more with the average age of the members on the board. So it is easier to dump on QC, Hutch, and Henson.

And for those who might be bothered about Quincy still being mocked. Quincy is a huge target because he got the biggest chance of them all at being the next big thing and he messed it off. And for many fans, that still pisses them off, because it's considered time wasted.

Yes, we're all grateful for Romo, but everyone knows we got lucky with him. If he hadn't panned out, we'd still be looking for a QB or bringing in the latest generation of QB duds.

It doesn't matter to me how many remember Pelleur though. If I mocked any other QB it would be met with laughter and no drama.

Mock Q and the protests fly. He remains the most popular mediocre QB I have ever seen.

Beuerlein arrived two years after Aikman (1991) and departed in '93. You don't remember Pelluer? I thought you were old .. like me.

She has suppressed those bad memories.

I never hated Carter, still don't, I was just put off by the fact that he had a real shot here, to be something, and he threw it away. It worked out, however, really well for Cowboys fans so if anything I'd be thanking him instead of being angry with him. I'd take Tony on some of his worst days over Carter on his best.

As for making fun of his speech problem, yeah, that's low and really speaks volumes about those who feel the need to make fun of people with issues like that.

Mmm, hmmm. Sure you did. No way you thought I was in the same age group as you and Cbz40.

This is basically how I feel on the subject too. He had a great opportunity and blew it (literally), however, I can't understand why people would attack him personally, it ain't like any of us were signing his checks.

Furthermore, it never ceases to amuse me how many of us (myself included) will say things behind a PC on a message board that we wouldn't dare say to a person's face. Imagine having to come explain to the board that you ran in to QC and thought the "Quinthy" thing might be amusing to him, only to receive a severe arse whooping by the man himself!

I know Quincy is a former player but it is not alright to rag on him, but you can rag on another player either current or former, and no one seems to care.

Steve Pelluer was average at best but I'm sure we didn't draft him 5 rounds early like we did Quincy.

Pelluer took one of the nastiest hits a QB have ever taken and survived. His knees were on the ground and he bent over backwards like a back-bend. He was tough but not that good.
