If he can stay healthy, Jones will enjoy very satisfactory rushing and receiving numbers. Not so sure about kickoff return numbers though. I guess that'll be up to Phillips and DeCamillis utilizing him more than they have let on thus far.

I get goosebumps just thinking about Felix getting very satisfactory rushing & receiving numbers. :)

LSU fan here.

When Jones was a Razorback, LSU had a very good run and pass defense. That guy ran through and around our defense during limited opportunities on the ground and via the pass (mainly dumpoff passes). I'm not saying that he's going to the pro bowl, etc., but injury was really the only thing which kept him leashed last season. I know what he's capable of. Hopefully, more of my Cowboy fan brethren will find out more of the same this season, because he only had the chance to tease in '08.

1200 yards from scrimmage rushing and receiving

That would be a bit less than Westbrook numbers, I think Felix depending on the touches could get that or better

My love for Felix is not locally deterministic; therefore, it's difficult to quantify.

I've heard poster after poster here gush about Felix but they do so in unquantified terms. I want to see if anyone is predicting numbers that are worthy of gushing over.

I know he is capable of big plays. We've seen him pull them off. And yes they have a flair to them that makes some gush.

Now we'll see what happens this regular season but I am not convinced as yet that Dallas will give him enough touches for him to put up eye-popping cumulative numbers. To me, its cumulative numbers that you gush over, not a ypc average when its based upon a far less than feature role total.

So I was interested if anyone was going to predict Westbrook type numbers. I don't see much of that being posted even though I have heard some claim he is better than Westbrook.

Well, I'm suspect #1 for not laying out stats and I'm respectfully not going to do so now. It's not something which I am customarily into doing.

However, I will say two things. Jones can put up respectable numbers which could parlay into big dividends for the offense without matching or exceeding Westbrook like numbers. And unless some fans (I'm not stating that you agree with them) get their wish, Jones would also have to overcome the obstacle of not being the starter. Westbrook is. It's not impossible, but it's more difficult for a fully productive sub to match a fully productive starter at any position.

I think he can put up Westbrook numbers if he is getting the touches that Westbrook gets.

If Felix doesn't at least split carries with Barber then Felix is just a nice complementary player.

Good to have, but you don't gush over complementary players IMO. And Westbrook is no complementary player. He is a feature back.

Barber, to me, is a complementary player. I know he was injured last year and lets say that for his benefit it was freak and not a predictable and recurring result of his style. But last year I think confirmed that Barber is not a feature back, but a complementary player.

For all the hype from fans and the org itself about Felix I'm expecting them to give him the touches that justify the hype. And yet I have a sneaky feeling they will not.
