Or maybe the WR made a good catch and run, or maybe you overlooked his two INT's or maybe you missed the times he missed his WR. One play doesnt change what he did that game. without Bush that one play wouldnt have existed. Matt is not a bad NFL QB, nobdoy is saying that, but the love he gets, all this aclades as if he is the greatest thign walking, is insane, he has done nothing but use what the scouters have gotten him. he is a good QB,yes, number 1 overall....No.

Tom brady has poise, with 3 SB, on a NFL level, but he was a 6th round draft pick. matt has some poise on a college level, but he goes first overall, you tell me how does that make sense
 
The thought of Matt Leinart as a Cowboy makes me sick to my stomach. :puke:

I'm sure he'll be a decent (not spectacular) QB, but I find his whole schtick to be nauseating.
 
Whether Bledsoe will be here 2-3 years or not, we'd be stupid to not draft our QB of the future. Its obvious BP doesnt think Romo or Henson will be, so why not draft someone like Quinn, let him learn behind Drew and in 2-3 years let him takeover. Its the same stupid thinking we had when Troy was getting old, we never drafted a QB to sit behind him and learn so when he did retire or move on, we had someone to step in.
 
Mark my words, Brady Quinn will be the best QB in the NFL at some point before his career is over.
 
No way the Cowboys can get Leinhart next year. It's virtually impossible, unless you think we'll win about 2 games from here on out. look at what the Giants had to give up to get Manning, and they just moved up about 3-4 spots.

Bledsoe will be the QB a total of 3 years, including this one. No need to get a qb of the future until after the 2006 season, then let him sit a year and watch.

We need some offensive guards of the future in my opinion.

I am a football fan. And I love to get some opinions and insight from other football fans. The fact that I love the draft sucks being a Commanders Fan. But what can you do. Reading your boards and participating gives me a much better outlook on your teams needs and weaknesses.

I watched the entire game. every play.

Matt plays in an NFL system. That is the reason that so much hype surrounds him. Often times (especially in the PAC-10) he is like a kid in a candy store and with the solid team around him he looks that much better. Bush is my pick for the heisman. Bush actually pushed Leinart into the endzone. Reggie is the man. There is no question about that.

Tom Brady ? Come on man you can do better than that.

Quinn is a very good QB. And plays the toughest schedule in football. I wont take anything away from the guy, as he has improved year after year. And with Weis at the helm, I expect Quinn to get a lot of looks around the NFL.

Leinart will be the #1 overall pick. It'll take 3 #1s to get him. No way Dallas pays that price.

There's no realistic scenario where Dallas can get Leinart. It just won't happen.

Good! I think we wait one more draft before we take a QB. Look for WR, OL to be the priorities in the next draft. The problem we will have, is we are going to contend for a superbowl next year and likely will have a very low 1st rounder in that draft. So i can see us trying to do something this year, it will be less expensive to move up this year, assuming we dont get to the SB this year. But i still don't think we make that move this year. But it wouldnt totally surprise me. If Quinn don't come out early, he will be a high 1st , top 5 prob, so we prob won't have a shot at him either.

Leinart doesnt have the arm strength to play in the NFL imo. I think he will be a bust. Reggie Bush now, thats another story.
 
Once again, two number ones from us could not have netted Eli Manning. And Leinart grades out higher as a prospect. Doubtful we could get something like that done, even if we wanted to.

Absolutely correct. And maybe more considering where we prolly draft from.
 
Screw that nancy boy from SC. Matty did not win that game Reggie Bush carried that team. Without Bush in that game today ND wins.
