Question about the defense

DL is getting a lot of sacks, but the D still seems to be unreliable.
Does anyone have stats on how fast the rush is actually getting there?
Also as far as pressures instead of sacks?

Secondary plays too soft. Not their fault, that's the way the game is being called. Rod is probably afraid to play more aggressively because he doesn't trust his talent. I don't trust it either, we need to trade for a quality CB or FS

The secondary is poor at tackling receviers/RBs after they catch the ball. Irritates me!

Probably has to do with secondary playing 10 yards off the receivers and the qb getting rid of the ball quick. Anthony Brown and Heath's names come to mind specifically when I think of the defense as a burning trash fire.

Jeff Heath is awful.

Rod is coaching the secondary to keep everything in front of them. The Dline is money right now however. In all reality Dlaw could get the sack record if he keeps up this pace. And what's scary? So could Irving!!!

Very underrated player by the fans. It’s obvious he was a pretty good player who kept it together on the backside of the D with the garbage he was working with.

People wanted Church to be Ed Reed or Earl Thomas. What they forgot was his tackling ability and how many times he saved our butts when runners got to the second level. He wasn't great in coverage, but after 7 games of Heath full time Church looks all pro!

how many seconds is the DL giving the opposing QB?

It's plural. Questions about the D. It is not one thing.

Coaching (too many issues to list)
Secondary (Safety play)
Inconsistant LB play (injuries, teamwork, counting too much on Smith)
DL (coming together on the pass but struggling against the run)

Safeties dont make plays, third and longs are a problem. That is very indictive of poor safety play in ANY football defense.

We get teams in 3rd and long A lot and they convert a lot. We would be a near week in and week out elite team if our safeties were better. Its the glaring weakpoint to me. Anyone else??
