Why exactly do you want him to stay?He is pretty sad as an OC in the fact that he didnt use the strengths of his players correct. Our QB and number #1 WR do not like him.Now its one thing with TO,but when Romo called him out that says a heck of a lot.

I think all of us have answered this a half dozen times. But good luck with the new thread to express your opinion of him.

I think Garrett's a smart guy. He had a good season last year (and I'm not ready to write that all off as Sparano's genius). He had some trouble htis year, but I'm confident that he'll have the smarts to see where he failed and correct his mistakes.

Hes young and at one point in time we had the most potent offense in the league is the only real reasons I like him.. He needs to learn the ropes still though. With Felix Jones in our offense Garrett is a different coordinator. That being said this last month has been brutal for him, but we can't let this guy go elsewhere trust me he will be successful.

Why do u think that?Just because he went to Princeton doesnt make him someone who will be a great coach.

I think he has a lot to learn, and I'll leave it at that.

We need the West Coast with out players.

Romo does not throw the slant pattern very well. We have had many interceptions from the slant this year.

I guess I will take the opinion of a guy with 3 Super Bowl rings over most of the armchair quarterbacks here. JG had a bad year, but I am willing to let him learn from his mistakes and come back next year and see how he uses Felix and RW11.....

I'm not sure if it's wise to ever get rid of a guy after one bad year. He still is on the short list of head-coaching prospects.

I'll say this....if he leaves for a head-coaching position, then I think TO stays.

If Garrett stays, then I think we'll let go of TO.

Just a simple prediction.

Pure speculation. Were they frustrated? You bet, we just missed the playoffs. But to say they dont like him or dont want him as their coach is pure speculation.

Why do I want him to stay? Because it's only his 2nd year. He is coming off a bad year which usually makes that team/person that much better the following year. Our productive offense last year was not by mistake. He comes from a coaching family. He learned the game on the sidelines during his career. He played behind a Hall of Fame QB.

Did I mention its only his 2nd season calling plays? Did I mention the fact that I think he will only improve as a coach and that I want US to be the ones reaping the benefits instead of some other team?

So yeah, there is my reasoning.

Playoff wins = 0. That's all that matters, and there is no excuse for the lack of potency our offense had late in both seasons. We struggled just to get first downs.

Oh, Romo can throw the slant.

Do you remember the frozen rope he threw to Terry Glenn against the Colts? He put it on rope. I've seen him throw successful slants. They just seem to disappear from the playbook.

I'll give Jason Garrett credit for calling those slants against the Commanders. I think Romo's timing and his finger affected those balls.
