your kids just dont become fans of other teams

i was raised watching the cowboys with my dad and my kids were raised watching the cowboys

unless you have issues with your parents...
this should never happen but if it does, they better not visit me

This is kinda random, but for all of you who are parents and have kids. We're obviously all die hard Cowboys fans here at the Zone, but let's say one of your kids turned it to be a fan of a different team like let's say the Iggles or Giants. Would you have a serious issue with that or just let them be?

Complete failure as a parent, you kid must really hate you to be a turncoat.

I let my kids make their own decisions: Either love the Cowboys or hit the road.

My 9 month old named Dallas seems to get excited every time the Giants come on tv. I think it's just the red and blue. I will let him root for whatever Nfl team he wants but I'll steer him towards the Boys. If he doesn't like I'll talk plenty of junk to persuade him.

They didn't really care. They're not really into basketball. It's my brothers and other family members and friends who are Spurs fan that are pissed loll.

My dad is a big Laker fan. My brother and I like the Spurs.....to answer your question, I wouldn't like it but I wouldn't force any team on them. They could like any team. I would just hope anytime they played, the Cowboys slaughtered them.

I tried, but none of my kids are Cowboys fans. :(

My oldest daughter is a Broncos fan (I knew I should have gotten her out of Wyoming before she went to school). Son is a Rams fan (also from Wyoming, so I have no idea where the hell that came from), but he does root for my Cowboys with me (unless, of course they're playing the Rams). Youngest daughter is a Vikings fan (like her mom).

It is what it is.

Why would I ever care what team they want to root for? It's just a game.

What a bunch of BS. I grew up in a Broncos and Chargers household and I've always been a Cowboys fan for as long as I've watched football.

I live in Forty Niner country, and named my boy "Dallas" .....he is 15 now, and I really though he could rub it in about how many SB's we have won, over the last 15 yrs....:banghead: but he can fan any team he want's. Except the Egals/Giants/Commanders.:

It's not just a game for everyone. The other day I taught my baby cousin to say Go Lakers. My older cousin (His dad and huge Spurs fan) got pissed and not in a playful way either.

I'm a diehard cowboys fan like my Dad, but my little bro hates them because he tries to hate any team my Dad likes. He was raised in Arkansas and doesn't have a team. He just roots for any team that plays against the Cowboys.

My two little supports the Cowboys, but only because they've now just gotten into it.

I'm not sure how any kids I'd have would support them. But they'll be given every opportunity to be a Cowboys fan. After 18, I probably won't care.

None of mine are Cowboys' fans. But they respect my fanaticism and one listens politely when I rant about each and every player on the roster. Of course, I listen to him rant about Clemson and I alternate my Clemson hat with my Carolina one just for them. My brother gnashes his teeth when he sees me in a Clemson hat and Carolina shirt.

Pro team allegience won't be that important to me. I'd love for my kids to be Cowboys fans but I won't lose any sleep if they aren't. I'll be trying much harder to sway their collegiate association.

I will have one less kid. Disowning not murder, I'm not that unreasonable.

My kids both like other teams, I say good for them. Wouldnt bother me if they didnt like sports at all, but thankfully they do. I want individuals who can make up their own minds, not carbon copies. One of the first things you learn as a parent is they have minds of their own.
