Does him opting out scare anyone? Given the mentality is a concern for players on D, I’d hate to find another one that puts business decisions way above interest of the team. Every player should look out for themselves but not at total expense of team.

These opt out guys are concerning me this year

Not even a little bit.

Not to wax too much, but this is going to become increasingly problematic for the NCAA. More and more elite players are going to start passing on their final season, in one way or another.

Not at all. He is a born leader. And is probably the best defensive player in this draft. He may have family at home with health complications. I do. I wouldnt risk it.

Without knowing the full details of why he didn't elect to play it's 100% a negative for me.

He may have a very good reason to not participate but if it's just like the rest of us then yeah I want guys who elect to play football during football season.

I don't want anymore smart businessmen as linebackers.

lol. So lets pass on the next Ray Lewis because he sat out? Yeah. I am so happy you arent making decisions for this team. I dont care if he's sitting out for any reason. When he hits the field hes a STAR. Blue chip. Once in a decade player. Maybe even generational talent. Lets pass on him because he didnt want to play football during a pandemic. You have serious issues. I do take issue with players that suck and also make business decisions. A La Jaylon. Parsons is not Jaylon.

No Bosa didn’t want to get hurt so essentially sat out most of his last year, he’s an animal.
Yeah imagine if San Fran said. Nah we dont want you. You sat out. Very happy that @CATCH17 is not running this team.

I am starting to think he hasnt watched Parsons play yet lol.

Ummm.. Never said this..

I've not watched any of Parsons.. Like at all.

In general I like premium positions in the first round.. Especially higher up in the draft.

So saying "CATCH17 wouldn't have taken Nick Bosa" is ridiculous.

QB, DE, LT, & corner are always worthy of a premium pick.

A linebacker being picked top 5 has to be some kind of player to validate that pick.

Then I suggest you watch Parsons. Kid has the potential to be a TOP LB in the league. And when I say top I mean perennial all pro.

1. I’ve never seen any concern with Parsons effort on the field.

2. Parsons is finishing his degree in 3 years. Which shows a work ethic.

3. Parsons has a 2 year old son, which he mentioned as his primary concern with the pandemic and possibility of getting sick. I think it’s understandable for a young parent to be worried about their child’s health. Plus we don’t know anything about the overall health of his child. For all we know there’s pre existing conditions in the family that he is worried about.

To be frank, him opting out doesn’t concern me at all. Given everything I know about the player.

Good stuff...he should be a top target for us with our first pick IMO.

Then if that’s the case, these guys should have to reimburse their respective university for the value of that scholly for that season.

He has the ability to be an all pro linebacker. He can do it all. He can stop the run. He can blitz the passer, he can cover. He is a freak athlete.

he is the total package. I would love it if Dallas lands him.

He's a stud for sure. My only question as of now is around coverage as I just don't know. I don't see a lot of plays of him in coverage in the limited tape I've watched and I haven't seen any stats saying good or bad so just need to learn more.

Hopefully PFF likely have more data as we get closer to the draft so anxious to see what his coverage grades look like.

Hopefully he has a career like a few other #11s from Penn State ... Arrington and Bowman

Did Arrington ever make the playoffs during his career?

Was Bowman on that SF team that made the Super Bowl vs Balt? They’ve either been great or horrible last 10 years. I assume he was part of the good teams.

There was a discussion where Cowboy fans were ripping on Parsons for not being able to take on the block like Jaylon. I thought I read it here but I guess not. Went through all the threads and everyone here has only good things to say about Parsons. I wonder where I read that. Maybe at the end of a mock draft article.
