If he is tendered, do we still get the right to match an offer made to him?

Follow up, how smart would we be if we let him go given he is the heart of our offence and was arguably our second best offensive player last year behind Romo?

I'm not sure I'd consider MBIII our 2nd best player behind Romo cause I really think TO is that guy so I'd list MBIII as our 3rd although I also love Witten.

It's crazy, but the poison pill will work something like this:

Signing bonus: $5mil

Year 1 salary: $2 mil
Year 2 salary: $2.5 mil
Year 3 salary: $3 mil
Year 4 salary: $50 million

Clause: the entire contract is payable if he plays more than 3 games in the state of Texas. I guess the Texans won't be looking at him. ha ha
