Questionable HC calls

The mental mistakes are piling up. Not blocking Nolen on first and goal from 6 and they lose 3 yards makes it hard to stick with the run on the first possession. I would have taken the points, but get going for it the way this defense is playing.

After that it was holding, 5 dropped passes, illegal formation, multiple defenders going unblocked on running plays.

are we not impressed anymore? what happened?

come on, we ll face another bad team and scream SB BOUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Run game working, they abandon it.

Go for it instead of taking the FGs

Many other questionable calls.
I thought this was the worst game Schotty coached to date. This could have been a 4 point game instead it was a big climb to get back into it and largely forced the team to abandon the running game.

Overall a bad night all around, sans for the Cowboys pass rush which actually disrupted plays. Unfortunately the D gave up way too many 3rd down conversions, and the offense sputtered.

It's almost like he's in over his head and learning on the job.

We lived this for 10 years already.
No. It's almost likely during camp his defense was built around 1 player, that the Owner/GM decided to trade right before the season started. Why, you ask. Because the Owner/GM thought it was a good idea to just wait for no apparent reason to negotiate a new contract.

The HC in week 9 believes his defense is so bad that he has to go for it on 4th down during the opening drive with the score 0-0. Keep in mind, your playing a 2-5 team with their back up QB.

Meantime your senile Owner/GM thinks you are a Super Bowl contender and can't seem to make up his mind after 8 weeks of disastrous football, if he needs to trade for defensive help.

Does any of this make sense? And some how half our fans are still buying into this BS.

It was both, I say that because Pickens was running wide open across the middle, about 5yds past the sticks. Dak never looked off CeeDee.
All depends in what order Dak was supposed to look at Pickens? If Dak was supposed to look at Pickens first (might have been covered first), then look off to CeeDee, it would be nearly impossible to notice Pickens getting open afterwards when Dak looked off to CeeDee but had pressure barreling into his face. Also, if the play called is supposed to go to CeeDee, it would be very hard to notice Pickens get open after beating his man at the line of scrimmage.

I don’t know what to say, it was a messed up play to begin with. I don’t blame Dak for the bad throw, he was hit in the process. CeeDee played that ball lazingly but there was a better option. It should have been a FG attempt to begin with.

Agreed.

All of this could have been prevented had our Oline performed much better. Absolutely horrible performance by our Oline (all starting 5). Even benched Terence Steele in the 2nd Half, and his replacement was worse. Inexcusable. The new Oline coaches need to be yelled at. This bad performance by the Oline has been going on too long. It all starts with them.
