Who is Drew Henson???

Can anyone list the 3rd string QBs that have been on this team for the last 5 seasons?
I'd bet most of us can because we're wrapped up in the team not petty jealousies about whether someone else likes a player or not.

Wrapped in the team!!!!................ A 3rd string QB who has proven nothing on the field on a team in the play-off hunt late in the season :lmao2:.

He'd be of more consequence if we were a losing team with our starter and back-up performing poorly. That is not the case.

I could see your point if it were the off-season or training camp.

Being "wrapped up" in Henson at this point in the season (with our teams status) is as asinine as someones dislike for Henson when he's still in the development stages.

How would you define being wrapped up in players who are no longer even on the team? Careful, this might turn into a 10 page thread.

I'll bet you've got a great excuse for your obsession because it isn't about judging someone else.

BTW, if you read it closely I said people are wrapped up in the team, not wrapped up in Henson. That means they can probably easily remember who the players on the team are. Funny how you can't separate the 2.

I do have a great excuse.......My obsessions are based on what goes on between the lines not pedigree, mechanics etc etc

Well if thats the case.......Go ahead and list all the 3rd string QBs on this team in the past 5 season. I think the list will prove my point of how non-consequential youe idead of being wrapped up in the team means.

That was the case last year. How did you feel about Vinny playing the last 2 meaningless games last year ? Just for the record, I thought it was stupid.

Well I don't think it was the case. The failure last year couldn't be put squarely on Vinny's shoulder.

Keyshawn noted a couple factors that contributed to Vinny drop off last season. Loss of Terry....Poor Oline play........etc.

There isn't any QB that can function without a good supporting cast. Favre in '05, Troy late inhis career etc etc Why should we believe a QB of lesser talent would do any better.

Furthermore Henson didn't do anything to earn the starts even when the team was playing poorly. If Henson showed in practice he was better at moving the team, excuting the plays and making plays he would have gotten the nod over Vinny late last season.

He could barely surpass Romo for more than a month at the back-up spot. His draft status and salary doesn't dictate the Cowboys should put him on the field. Therefore on the business side he has no stones........

I didn't think it was stupid. I thought it was shocking that a QB who cam ewith so much fan fare and media hoopla couldn't EARN a legit start of a very average to poor team, especially when his competition at the spot featured a 80 year starter and undrafted rookie free agent. I attributed his averageness to his time away from football, but that excuse is going out the window at the end of this year, because last time I checked QBs playing meaningless games late in the season aren't the end all be all in developing QBs.

Sure they are becuse we all know that every time you point out a 10 page thread it is about what that player did on the field. I've noticed that you never point out all the other 10 page threads. Just the one topic.

First let's start with a little observation. You've never taken this stance in our previous 3 years of jousting. The reason why you are right now is real obvious, you're gloating over the fact my pedigree beliefs aren't paying off right now.

I'm patient. You're transparent.

Now as to these players being "inconsequential" that really is an ignorant statement and shows just how far you've sunk in trying to redeem yourself from the multiple butt whippings. No player on a team is inconsequential to that team. The 3rd string QB does run the scout team. Yeah Charles, there's no value in that.

We also know that no team ever has to use a 3rd string QB in a game. Unless you pay attention to 2001.

2005 Drew Henson
2004 Drew Henson 1/2 the year, Tony Romo half the year.
2003 Tony Romo
2002 Clint Stoerner
2001 Quincy Carter, Ryan Leaf, Clint Stoerner, and Anthony Wright all spent times as the 3rd guy due to injury.

Yet another agenda shot to hell.

This was a nice effort at least.

I read this twice Charles, I didn't see a direct answer, help me if I'm wrong. You agreed with BP playing Vinny the last 2 games last year is the gist I got ?

Look, I don't care if its Romo or Henson last year, heck, give them each one game. Vinny was not our QB of the future and BP did not give either one playing time when I think he should have. Thats all I'm saying

Henson has been away from football too long, Romo played Div I AA ball. Here was BP's shot to give then real NFL experience. he didn't and IMHO blew an oportunity.

I like BP as our coach, I just think he made a mistake last year.

I love my mother too, but she's made mistakes in her life too.

So, you don't thinked they earned it. Fair enough. But what did we gain by playing Vinney those last 2 games ?

Hos: Do you not know that only starters need be discussed here? No one else matters. Do not dare to pose questions, raise topics, or start threads pertaining to third string QBs, practice squad wideouts, or kickers.

Yet, you may post a zillion times daily about who does and does not think the Cowboys will win on Sunday. From Dr. Z to the neighbor's wife. If they don't respect Dallas, we must hear about that.

But not this. Not Drew Henson.

You can't teach this old dog new tricks Scott. I'm set in my ways and my ideas. I don't need to use the outrageous to back up anything. That grinds some people's gears. There isn't a scale small enough to measure how little I care.

If everyone skips threads that they do not like what other people say, would there be anymore replies to threads or just general concensus ?

Why are they called threads anyhow ?

Point being...if I don't like QB threads and I express my opinion on the matter...you reply with basically saying..>Skip them.

So I say if I express my opinion and you do not like it...Will you...Skip them aka my opinion, will you skip it if you don't like it.
