It was a bad pass. Stop. I watched the play too. Williams is wide open. He doesn't have to step anywhere. All Dak has to do is not air mail it.
He threw it to a spot. Watch Dak's reaction after the play. He expected something different based on his reaction.

They have not won a Super Bowl or NFC championship.
Until they add some players on defense this team will not sniff a super bowl.
Chargers could have hung 40 on us easily.
Appreciate your work here though.

The reaction I saw was not that. More that he knew he made a bad mistake.

"The distinction is clear. It is a capital mistake to theorize before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts..."

I suggested drafting Delvin Cook with the pick they used on Taco. People said I was insane.

In reality they could have used 1 of Zeke/Cook at WR in order to get them both enough snaps. Tyreek Hill scares defenses even if he is not a great WR. Cook could have filled that role as well as split carries with Zeke at about 70/30 Zeke/Cook.
Man,ol' Brady lays it right on it for that Dalvin Cook(s) which,,,needless to say,,, isn't an entirely valid assessment to his possible contribution for another team,ya,know?
Or,am I confused in cookville? as I think there's a couple playing in the league now sporting that awesomely cool last name:thumbup:

The defense has probably met expectations or exceeded them based on their extreme lack of overall experience. They will be better next sesson due to experience. They just need a couple of easy to obtain players to be legit.
A veteran 1tech should not be difficult to find. Atlanta signed Poe for 1-year 8M and there were other less expensive options.

A quality backup LB that could push to start. This year the Skins signed Zack Brown for 1-year, 2.5M.

Because it's not above my ability to comprehend. At least not what I comment on. I think what you comment on is above yours though.
Sorry, I need Barbara Billingsley to intrepret your posts for me.

A) this team has won with these current players and with these current players. So immediately what you're saying has no merit.

B) we need a big time qb/wr for Dak to miss? Or do we need a player who can get wide open every snap for Dak to be successful...like Beasley was able to do last year?

C) when do we blame the qb?

So how was Dak hitting these players last year or earlier this year?

Norv Turner expected timing and for a receiver to exactly be where the pass was when it arrived...period.

This group does what is convenient, if they feel like it...and if it doesn't succeed for a reason, they will just try again. But the opponent has no surprise and is already on top by half time...power house or not.

Also, it's no coincidence that our receivers are smothered on most plays, while other teams have receivers who get separation or are "wide open" often. It's also no coincidence that defenders say they knew exactly what we were going to do and which routes are going to be run.

We have told you!!

When you have Zeke constantly giving you 3rd and short situations, even Weeden would have looked like "The next Brady".

Dak was a play action, Read option, one read Quarterback last season. An elite running game meant that you constantly had 3rd and short situations and of course defenses had to bite hard on the play action wich meant easy, wide open dump offs for Dakota.

There's a reason "gimmick" offenses don't last in the NFL ( read option, roll outs, ) and pocket Quarter backs do. Either Dal learns how to sit in the pocket and throw it deep or he will be out of the league or a backup ..

Great write up xwalker! Some of your observations have merit but others don’t. No agenda here. But Dak clearly made a bad throw to TWill on the top point conversation. Nothing more. Nothing less.
