Good discussion points............
If we want to blame alot of Daks' "accuracy problems" on the inaccurate WR's route............doesnt that then also come back full circle to the coaches.

If we have Dez, T.Will and Butler all running routes that then get Dak Pik-6'd, that has to reflect on the coaching staff putting up with it in practice, camp and pre-season..................or its a problem with the complexity of scheme /route tree

this is football, Cb's are gonna try and bump a reciever 2-3 yards off , slow them down ........the scheme has to allow, and the QB has to react..............Dez had gotten "within range" with Romo at QB thru the years, Romo to L.Robinson was mainly sandlot as the play's broke down.....
****
I'd love to see Rico added back on the roster.....
****
how can C.Wentz get 3 new receivers and be on the same wavelength after one camp?.........and our QB regress's after 2 camps?

The coaching is the biggest problem. The offense is especially predictable with clear formation & personel tells.
Ben Rogers has been saying for years how multiple current/former offensive players have told him they would line up and the defender would brag about knowing what play they were running. And it wasn’t some rare occasion. It was made to sound like a frequent occurrence.

I suggested drafting Delvin Cook with the pick they used on Taco. People said I was insane.

In reality they could have used 1 of Zeke/Cook at WR in order to get them both enough snaps. Tyreek Hill scares defenses even if he is not a great WR. Cook could have filled that role as well as split carries with Zeke at about 70/30 Zeke/Cook.

I was a huge Cook fan too and right now using the pick on an actual taco from Taco Bell looks like it would've been a better choice than the charlatan we picked

Defensive coordinators have a whole year of film on Dak, they spent the offseason dissecting his tendencies, and weaknesses. He's has to adapt. Last year, the rollout pass to witten tricked a bunch of teams, this year they got it down.

They know he doesn't go deep and relies on little dinks and dunks to Beasley and witten, now they take those away.

So how was Dak hitting these players last year or earlier this year?
Dak's rattled. After getting sacked 8 times in one game, he then had to play the next two games against the best pass D's in the league over the last six weeks. It has totally taken him out of his game. Having Zeke for defenses to worry about would give Dak more open looks, but probably not enough to effect the outcome of these last two games. The only way we could've won them was how we won at Minny last year, by avoiding mistakes and hitting a couple of big plays offensively, and by playing solid defense. But Sam Bradford ≠ Wentz/Rivers, and even less so when their OL is allowed to commit holding.

The offense finds itself in a perfect storm of being short-handed and knowing they'd have to compensate for it, but at the worst possible part of the schedule. These are the Top 5 pass defenses over the last six weeks, according to passer rating.

1 Eagles 94 of 166 829 yd 6 td 8 int 64.3
2 Chargers 127 of 202 1151 yd 4 td 10 int 64.9

3 Ravens 94 of 156 826 yd 4 td 7 int 67.7
4 Saints 104 of 197 1052 yd 8 td 6 int 71.4
5 Rams 103 of 179 1073 yd 5 td 6 int 72.1

That list does not include their games against the Cowboys.

This all boils down to Dallas really not being very good or competitive against someone who is really pretty good and aggressive.

Also boils down to how supporting cast and strength of opponent can effect a team with an inexperienced quarterback.

Until they add some players on defense this team will not sniff a super bowl.

71% of the Cowboy's cap is dedicated to the offense. 29% to the defense.

The front office plan for this team, by design, is that the offense MUST dominate for the team to win.

It was a bad pass. Stop. I watched the play too. Williams is wide open. He doesn't have to step anywhere. All Dak has to do is not air mail it.

My goodness. I can't believe that pass is something a guy is going to debate. The pass was horrible. T-Will was wide open. If the pass was a back shoulder pass or fade route to the corner of the end zone and Dak threw it to that "spot" while the WR ran a slant, I can see the argument. This was not the case where a QB and WR were not on the same page. It was just a horrible throw.

He threw it to a spot. Watch Dak's reaction after the play. He expected something different based on his reaction.
I think Daks reaction was dang i missed
It doesnt look like williams could have moved in any direction except for up to have a chance at that ball

Last season we had a top-five offense. Through the first 7-8 games we had a good offense.

The scheme and coaches aren't perfect but are handicapped by Dez, Jason. Combine that with Zeke's absence, injuries along the line, and it's not surprising we aren't seeing the same results.

We need new WR, TE for the offense, a healthy Tyron Smith and a couple of good backups for the line. That plus Zeke's return and the offense will be elite again.

We might also see Hercules in the tight end rotation next year.

If one also didn't have a very poor track record of being derailed going into the black 'n blue month of December...think the current picture really involves how the transition players only respond to currently top defenses? Sorry, that to this fan, is hiding behind the convenience of selective stats. Relative stats, albeit, but the core of team commitment is the villain, not hiding in the sun.

Last season, Dak didn't lead victories over good team defenses?
