*1 QB hit. 1 QB hurry. 0 sacks. = 2 total pressures

*If you're thinking he was on the sideline a lot, he really wasn't... The broadcast just made a bigger deal about it than it was...

He played 73 of 78 snaps, 41 of them being pass rushing snaps.

*2 pressures on 41 pass rushing snaps means pressure on just under 5% of snaps.

*That is his second worst pass rush efficiency outing since wk 1 of his 2012 breakout year.

Okay... On to Seattle!

He still made his presence felt. Dude has to be accounted for on every play.

True. The point wasn't to tear down Watt though. It's to prop up our big uglies.

Watt is a monster... Last week he had 15 pressures on 47 snaps. That's insane.

This week, he didn't have the same impact he normally has, and was beat up in the run game.

He's a great player. Good to see the cowboys were able to handle him

Leary was impressive. I have rewatched the first half and he was tremendous. We also gave him a bunch of double teams and he was starting to split most of them when the ball was out. It was actually an impressive performance against a force of nature. We did contain him but had to dedicate more resources than anything to do so. That is also why our pass protection was so awful. We were paying a ton of attention to him and blitzes were repeatedly getting home. Crennell blitzed a lot. Cushing and Swearingen looked very good out there as well. Once Clowney gets back, that defense is going to be unbelievable.

That's good to know, they definitely made it like he was out every other play in the game.

His pressure is what lead to the Romo int but I guess that wasn't as sexy as the Romo juke.

And didn't Dez only make one play in that game?

part of reason for those stats was Ronald Leary was effective against Watt.

By any reasonable standard Dez made far more than one play. Beyond the circus catch to set up the game winning FG, he had a touchdown catch and a catch to set up Bailey's missed attempt at the end of regulation, among other plays of significance.

Instead of shaking your head perhaps you need to give your head a shake?

Add in only 4 tackles and none of them for a loss. Zero hits on the QB. The OL definitely gave him extra attention but I'd say they handled him very well.

The announcers made his presence felt. If that was Mincey having a similar game, no one would have said a word about it.
Mincey probably did have a similar day. He had the hit on Fitz in OT (I think) that caused the incompletion.

Mincey has been getting some pressure, just not the sacks yet. Hopefully he gets some against Seattle.
