Anyone saw his performance yesterday, if so, what did you think of it?

Personally I thought what I´ve always thought of him, he´s not the kind of QB that´s going to win a game for you, plus he makes stupid mistakes like not being able to run a play with 8 sec remaining, that cost them the game.
For his sake I wish him luck.

he played good considering what was asked of him. I heard they told him not to worry about managing the clock due to the fact that they had a person on the sideline that has the job of just managing the clock from the sideline. Q did what he was told they guy on the sideline screwed up.

I felt he played a decent game, nothing great but played a good game. He did nothing to cost the Jets the game but then I'm the one who claims teams win not individuals.

Coy, he did better than I expected in that it's yet another new system for him, an infamously convoluted one (Paul Haclett's anal version of the wco), and he can't have been getting much time to build chemistry wiith his receivers before Pennington got hurt.

A few times he left the pocket too soon - he needs to understand his oline better, and nice versa. A few times he made nice plays rolling out and he also seemed to go thru his read progressions.

His fear of turning it over was paplable - he played the second half even more scared than he did under Tuna. Herman Edwards has said he wants Q to be Q, and not be straight jacketed. But the OC calls the plays - Q will be as "managed" here in NY as he was here, even more so.

Edwards has a clue, imo, about how to let Carter's best abilities emerge - but other than just nag Hackett, he has no recourse but to watch his OC chicken out.

Coy, first off let me say this, it was not Carter's fault at the end of regulation. that was the OC's fault. they should have run another play with Lamont Jordan straight up the middle or a play action, bootleg with the option to run. And let me go back to the play that Jordan threw the INT, he should have pulled the ball down and just ran, Herman Edwards said so himself after the game, Jordan also admitted he screwed up.

Back to the 8 seconds, well the play came in from the sideline late and Edwards got on them about that, that is why they had to use the last timeout then.

Now, back to the reporters, the consensus said that he played a near flawless game. I say he played a flawless game, in spite of the OC.

His play I would not say he played scared, he played more like a guy that is not use to his offensive line and the receivers. But I expect that he will play with more confidence and loosely the next game and as the games go he will gain confidence, as he gained some confidence and knowledge of his fellow offensive players this game. Even though they lost they can take a lot of positives from that game and build.

He will have the kind of season Drew Brees is having, it was just put on hold for 8 games.

I felt Hackett ran the ball too much at times but that is okay, considering the defense that they were up against.

I gave Carter a grade of an A, this game. And the Jets fan can look forward to even better play the rest of the season.

You're kidding, right? The day Q ever has a TD/Int ratio of 18/3 is the same day you get named Head Coach of the Cowboys.

Hey, I supported Carter. Not so much what he was/is, but what he could possibly be if he had a good team around him.

But...

No way in hell will Carter ever have a season like that. Brees won't ever have another half season like he's had this year. Brees is and will be good, but not THAT good.

I'll give you an ok game from QC but like I said he will never be a QB that will win a game for you.
