Quinnen Williams trade might have been a mistake

The team regards itself as being in win-now mode - whether any of us agree with that or not. They were always going to trade one of those two first round picks.

There were far worse players they could have done it for.
Then why not hire a win now head coach? John Harbaugh and Mike Tomlin were available.

You can’t predict the future, but at the time that was one of the better trades anyone could make.

I see this thread a lot around here with a lot posters trying to read the stars and tea leaves. ‘We can’t give up draft picks because…’. Which trails off because they think it goes without saying.

Basically if you wait, you’re dead.
 
They could've drafted Josiah Trotter with the 2nd round pick. The Packers this year might end up being a top 10 pick and the draft is stacked. 2 Foundational Pieces on rookie contracts is a better deal than Quinnen on a huge contract.
