They say the definition of insanity is repeating the same process and expecting a different result.

The players do make mistakes but the coaches are the ones who put those players in that position.

The Eagles were effective running the ball because Ferguson was getting blown off the ball. I counted at least 5 plays where he got pushed at least 7 yards downfield against one one one blocking.

Is that his fault? Yes, There's really no excuse. Is it also the staff's fault because they expected a NT who barely goes three bills to be an every down player? Yes, when you look at the size and rotation of other 3-4 team's NT.

The bottom line is that the players are limited by their physical ability, coaches are limited by their mental ability. A great coach can mask the liability but players, no matter the talent, can never mask scheme liabilities.

Is it any wonder that in the second half of the season teams with innovative staffs like Philadelphia and New Orleans have abused the Cowboys while coaches on the hotseat like Atlanta and New York have lost?

You silver tongued Devil You..........You are on the money Sir. I could not agree more....excellent post

I love people who only want to blame the coaches but not the players, love those that want to blame only the players and not the coaches.

No wait...I loathe those people, I love those people that realize it is the coaches AND the players.
When we constantly bring in new players and upgrade the talent and yet we still get the same results on the field as we did with lesser talent then you start looking at the coaches.

It's just a shame that some people are too ignorant to see that.

not there fault.

we cant block. we cant rush. we cant cover. and we cant catch. not the coughes fault.

Why not?

The first thing Parcells said in his PC after the game was that he put the loss on his shoulders.

It seemed liked the Eagles had our gameplan down too a tee.

The Goaline Stance they had where guys were in our backfield, kind of like they knew where the play was headed?

The all-out blitz Zimmer called up the middle (where the guys always get stuck), and Garcia audibled and got that huge 50+ yard play?

Attacking the middle of the defense?

Im just going off of memory, I can pop the recored game back in the DVD player for more.

At least the fullback didnt beat us this time  .

Mick... not to mention the Eagles D calling out our plays to us before we ran them (IE... "watch out for the draw.")

How about Moving Ware around the field more?

We did it once in the 3rd quarter by moving him to the left side and the result - A SACK + FORCED FUMBLE.

But why wait till the 3rd?!?

Right, whatever, Zimmy should have called a timeout before a backup tightend took us to the house.
