Guys I am seeing threads where you guys are saying how good the Giants are  . Who have they played????? San Diego and they got beat 45-24. So please quit judging this team because they beat the sucky Cardinals, the overhyped Saints, and the weak OL DL Rams.

Trust me, that was a waaaaay different San Diego team then we faced. Right after San Diego's second game (I forget who it was against), LT complained that he was not getting the ball enough and all of the sudden, they started feeding him the rock and they started winning.

Oh, dont forget the Giants swept us last year with alot of the same people and Eli Manning got his first win of his career against us.

He is definately playing and making progress like everyone thought he would.

Manning looked good in the games i have watched. the giants dont dominate on defense, but they can score and if you dont execute against them or your offense has an off day they will beat you. they got whipped by SD, so did NE. SD playing good ball right now. I dont think the giants will get blown out much this year. they have a solid enough team to stay in games and take advantage if teams dont bring their A game, i was suprised that their passing game is doing so well this early in the season. thought manning would need more time, but apparently not.

Stop deluding yourself into thinking the Giants are going to be anything but very good. Manning and Burress were top ten picks, Shockey and Tiki are pro bowlers and Toomer is as good a #2 WR as there is. Their size advantage causes major matchup problems, they are the NFL's highest scoring team (by far), and they can grind it out when they have to-- you can ask for little more from an offense. Defensively they range from average to good.

The NFC East is headed where everyone thought it would once Tom Coughlin and Joe Gibbs joined the division. Since week 2 not one team in the division has had a losing record.

We contained LT and our incompetance at FS enticed SD into passing too much. But we did contain LT. Our problem comes with stopping average running backs-- the great ones we lock down easily enough ;) .

...I am not going to compare teams based off common competition....

Note about the Giants. 14/16 games are identical to the Cowboys' schedule. Same teams in the same stadiums (i.e. @ San Diego, SF, Oakland & Seattle). Washington and Philly are also the same as each other, for 14/16, but the inverse of the Cowboys/Giants (they get all of west coast teams at home). At the end of the season the respective records against common opponents, for these paired teams, will be a very good indicator of comparitive quality, in addition to the head-to-head.

The non-common opponents are Minnesota and New Orleans (the extra home game for the Giants) & Detroit and @ Carolina (Dallas).

Philly gets Green Bay and @ Atlanta, while Washington hosts the Bears and goes to Tampax Bay.

Why do you insist on denying the truth? The Giants are lightyears ahead of the Cowboys.

They tried to use LT a lot in the first halk and we stopped him that is the only reason his number did not get called in the second. The Dallas D made that happen and it had nothing to do with getting LT the ball.

It's really hard to believe anyone thinks the Cowboys are better than any team in the division. Do they have better talent/depth? Probably so, but talent has to play to its potential nad be placed in a position to do so by coaching/schemes.

So far neither of these things have come together on a consistent basis and until they do, the Cowboys are not going to be better than any team in the division - regardless of 'hype.'

What you're missing is that they actually dominated someone? Who have we dominated on the scoreboard.?

What does Dallas have to do with this post? I am talking about the Giants not the Cowboys. Now way the Giants are better than us.

The Giants have a running game, a qb who is only going to get better and a consistent pass rush and they score more than 13 points every week. Are you sure they're not better than us?

That was my point in the first post they dominated some teams granted but how good are the teams they have played? They have also played 3 home games while we have played 3 away games.

They aren't for real, and i'm not sold on little Eli just yet either. But we can't take them lightly, after all they swept us last year. I expect them to fold down the stretch, they will be no better than .500

I agree with all that you said but if you mention that manning and burress were top ten picks you have to mention that bledsoe keyshawn and terry were all top ten picks. That to me is not a reason to think the Giants are going to be good. The giants will be good because they have a plether of weapons on the offesnive side of the football. Like us they have a very competent receiving core complimented by Jeremy Shockey who even if he's overrated is still a great tight end. Tiki Barber needs no introduction and can go the distance on any screen they throw to him. Their o-line isn't the most talented group but right now they seem to be doing enough to let eli deliver the pass on target.

Right.

My point was, whether it is true or not, LT felt he was not getting the ball enough. Even though your point is proved, cuz he only got 2 more extra carries (21) against the Giants when he blew up as opposed to 19 carries against us lol.
