Jerry keeps picking offensive line in the first round. Than he is forced to reach for defensive helped in the second. Back to back years we pass on top corners to pick a spot that can be filled with veteran help. Guyton was complete miss. Booker will be good but he was not BPA. Hoffman fill in nicely at guard. That was the last thing we needed. Plus for the love of god quit drafting Michigan washouts. Mcclay is overrated.

Jerry wants to rebuild the 90s and his amazing oline. He lives in the past.

Not to play devil's advocate, but Tyler Guyton has done very well so far, at least in comparison to his rookie season.

And the play of the Panthers DT's against the run yesterday was the first time the Cowboys really felt the absence of Beebe and Booker.

Kinda had to when Frederick, Martin, and Tyron retired.

Jerry played offensive line.

He’s all about the offense.

And now more than ever it’s rearing its ugly head.

All those picks and still can’t run the ball.

The unspoken rule zero of the draft is "pick a good player". A lot of other things work out, if you keep picking good players.

I would've picked Warren over Booker, but Booker at least looks like he's going to be a good player. Mazi is not a good player. Schoon is not a good player. Kneeland is not a good player. Guyton looks pretty shaky.

Spending 1st and 2nd rounders on UDFA caliber players is what has depleted this roster.

Jerry still lives in the past, as if it’s the 1990s. That was when he had undersized linemen who were great at getting to the QB. It was nothing more than lightning in a bottle.

Jerry just needs to get out of his own way, because he’s been destroying this team for more than two decades. He simply doesn’t know how to build a team and prefers coaches who are weak, mediocre, and underperforming. That way, he feels like he’s the smartest kid on the block.

Erik Williams - 3rd Round Pick, Mark Tuinei - UDFA, Nate Newton - UDFA, Mark Stepnowski - 3rd Round Pick, Larry Allen - 2nd Round Pick, Kevin Gogan - 8th Round Pick, John Gesek - 10th Round Pick.

They spent a 2nd on Wisnewski, but traded him to the Raiders.

That would have panned out and didn’t have to use a first on him

They do it because it's safe. I have no data to support it but I feel like 1st round O linemen are less likely to bust than other positions, other than maybe RB

Taking Booker was a dumb move to me. This team had real needs after the last two year. We needed DL and RB. The gods were good by making last years draft class strong in both positions. In the meantime, the Cowboys had Hoffman, Bass, Asim Richards, Nate Thomas, Adeniji and Saadiq Charles on the roster along with a few other guys. The Cowboys were neck deep in OGs. Booker might be a good player someday. But not so much better than the backups they had. Taking an OG at 12 was pure folly.

And, I wonder if the right move was to move Nate Thomas inside to RG. He might be fine there with no need to draft another OG.

Nothing against Jayden Blue and Jay Toia, but taking your need position that late is like an afterthought.

And I will add one more concern to this. Come April do not be surprised if the first pick is another offensive lineman. We could see Jerry take an offensive tackle this time because we've had enough of Guyton and Steele. And if I am honest, that might be the right thing to do because no team can win with bad OTs. What an awful position Jerry has put the Cowboys in with all his recent decisions.

Jerry started doing this in round 1 with Tyron Smith b/c it's one of the easiest projections in round 1 and makes the team look smart. IF you hit on your round 1 pick, all the fans think you nailed the draft bc most of them aren't paying attention after round 1.

The panthers interior DL rotation is excellent against the run. Since week one they’ve been a stone wall.

Jerry realizes that the last time this team was good was Dak's rookie season and that line.

And along that vein, for Bog's sake get someone in charge who can evaluate a frickin' player. We consistently miss on mid round OG's, which is where most teams get them from.
