"How Bout Them Cowboys" Origin?

Broyles used to say that at Arkansas in the early 70's. I had a bumper sticker in 76 that read "How bout them Hogs". I am sure JJ could have easily picked it up from him. I also read that some old coach from South Carolina in the 50"s or 60' named Red Hickey (I believe) used the phrase and JJ was an assistant with him for a while in the 60's...
