Just flipped onto NFL Gameday on NFL Network and caught the end of a interview with Brian Westbrook who said "We felt like they didn't really respect us and sometimes those teams get beat like today."

I believe this game had to do with lack of execution not respect. The defense showed up and dominated and the offense didn't. Plain and simple.

Sounds more like Westbrook's frustration at how the season has gone for them

People who say that championship teams never have bad performances in December haven't paid much attention the last five years or so.

Yeah they were so disrespected. If anything, it was McNumbnuts who disrespected us back in November.

Anyway, hard to respect a 5-8 team.

Hell, if our last SB was decided in December, we would not have won. We lost to the Eagles, barely beat the Giants on a last second FG and by all rights should not have had home field.

I forget the recent article, but Andy Reid was quoted as saying, "Yeah, we will give the Cowboys the Division Crown temporarily" or something like that.

Seems like the lack of respect went both ways.

The way I see it, this game showed the team's lack of maturity. Championship teams do not lose home games in December.

Philly may be a team on the decline but they have the grit Dallas needs to find if they want to compete in the playoffs.
I couldn't agree more...

I know a lot of people who think that way. Gutting out a win (like last week) would have helped us a whole lot more. That builds character.

Don't get me wrong, I think it was a wake up call and we will take care of business in Carolina and Washington. I still never look at a loss, especially one with so many injuries, as a benefit.

If we beat Minnesota next week and need to win at home to clinch a playoff spot, don't think that "taking care of business" is going to be easy in the finale.

Too bad Adrian Peterson is going to run all over your Skins.

Excuse me if Todd Collins doesn't scare me.

I'm not saying you should be scared but its not an easy out....if we beat Minnesota we will be on a 3 game win streak, going back home for a must win finale. The motivation level in this case is bound to be higher then simply then difference between a 1 and 2 seed. Nobody wants to be eliminated the last week on their home turf.

If we lose to Minnesota then its just a pride game on our end.

I agree, it was a needed wake-up call. We were in cruise control thinking we could turn it on at any moment.

This reminded me of the Rams loss back in 1992. We were destroying everyone, and then lost to the lowly Rams at home. That was the last loss of the year, and we went on to win the Super Bowl.

That game re-focused us, as I think this game will also.

I agree with you saying we were in cruise control thinking we could turn it on at any minute because you could see that Romo was not in the game until the last drive or two and it was obviously too late.

Watching the first half and more than half the second, it looked like Romo was saying "whatever, we have all day"

Philadelphia is really lucky that this just wasn't our night. Opened guys in the endzone consistantly missed. Opened receivers the ball sails over their head, the opened deep bomb to TO over his head, twice.

On the other hand, we had several fumbles that went the other way and an interception turned into a fumble to give us the ball back, so it could've been worse for us.

Well, we you don't execute that means a lack of preparation/concentration. And those are more likely to happen when you don't respect your opponent.

And I agree with Westbrook. This team hasn't won anything yet. Yet we're talking about "If" the Pats make the Super Bowl, comparing our state in Dallas vs. Philadelphia and threatening Jon Kitna, or getting in disputes with irrelevant former wide receiver turned broadcast. etc.

That's the stuff young, immature teams do. This team needs to shut up and force on the task at hand.

Like Mick Jaggers sings... "You cant always get what you want"

We will not lose to a Todd Collins led Skins team. You probably lose to the Vikes anyways.
