Wow... Amazing! If he truly believes that then Banks is dumber than I originally thought.
You know... I went into season knowing that Dallas had more than enough offensive weapons. So it was completely unnecessary for me to want one player to shine during any particular game, but after reading what Mr. Banks had to say, I'm going to put that non-expectation on ice for this one game. Hopefully, Bennett will light up the Giants' defense like Times Square on New Years Eve. I certainly won't cry if that actually happens.Juke99;2949236 said:Carl Banks...during an interview with WFAN.
First lemme state that I really can't stand Carl Banks...that entire group of ex Giants, coach included, carry a really arrogant attitude...and ya know, there's one reason for it, Lawrence Taylor. Without him, they were nothing more than a good team.
anyway...back to the point at hand...the host asked a good question..."When the Cowboys go with their two TE set with Witten and Bennett, how will the Giants deal with it because it has to be tough to defend two pass catching TE's"
Banks responded "The Cowboys only have one (his emphasis was on the word "one") pass catching TE. Bennett is a two year guy who hasn't done much yet. Bennett is their fifth option any time he's on the field."
I sure do hope the Giants are thinking the same way.
For the last five or ten years, the more that I have heard and read sports commentators' (not just ESPN's mind you) gameday interpretations, the more that I honestly believe that many don't even take the time to watch the games themselves in the first place.casmith07;2949313 said:I just listened to Sal Pal tell someone on ESPN that Demarcus Ware got "stoned" by the Bucs left tackle, like Ware is a bum or something. Nevermind the fact he got a pinched nerve on the first play from scrimmage.
