You need a taller woman who can really project a threatening attitude; Anne just does not have that.

I kind of agree that ideally a taller woman would be better for the role. I don't know who would fit that description. And comic book movies never try go for ideal fits anyway because the comic book world is rather hard to mimic. You have to settle for less often times. Comic book Batman is like 6'-4" or something. All the movie Batmans are about 6'-0". Just the way it goes.

Hatheway is 5'-8", which is taller than Michelle Pheiffer who is 5'-7 1/2".

As far as the casting for Catwoman, I was skeptical when Ledger was cast, so I'm gonna wait and see. Tom Hardy is the man though.

But Bane? Seriously? Does anyone remember what Bane looks like? Tom Hardy is no where near big enough, he'll need to add like 50 pounds of muscle to even come close.

Noone is big enough to play Bane. He's 8 feet tall in the comic book. But Tom Hardy did fill out to play the lead in Bronson.

that's probably because he was being potrayed by a professional wrestler, & they probably wanted a big, strong guy to play bane.

I'm aware of his role in Bronson. He still doesn't look that big when you compare him to other people. I'm sure they'll use some movie magic to make him bigger but still, while I love him as an actor, I think they could have gone with a bigger guy. We'll see what they do with him.

As for Xerxes, he isn't that big muscle wise, though he is certainly defined. They make him seem a lot taller than he is in 300, but he doesn't really interact with other people much, to get comparative views.
