Can someone delete his or her own thread or reply( before publishing them).?
No matter what I do the text I was planing to post later still sitting there waiting to be posted. I can't get rid of it.
Help would be appreciated
Thanks

You can overwrite it but that will remain in the box if you don't post it. Just leave it in the post reply box or overwrite and post. Or am I missing the problem?

It’s a feature, not a bug. The software assumes you coached and it saves your work for you.

If it really bugs you, overwrite it with a space character like any sane person with OCD would do.

You can delete it by removing all of it from the text box, then clicking the Floppy Disk icon and selecting Delete Draft .. You can just click Delete Draft and immediately refresh or leave the page. If you click Delete Draft and leave the text there and highlight the textbox again on that page, it will likely end up re-saving it again.
