I understand and acknowledge that losing to Saints without Brees and to Packers at home without Adams is very disappointing. Being 5-0 or 4-1 rather than 3-2 would be awesome.

If we look into these games, we really could be 5-0 at this point, it takes minor adjustments. Really, we pounded the Packers but had freak mistakes that caused us to fall into a hole early and the Saints game was there for the taking.

But put things into perspective, a 3-2 record is on pace for 9-6, so you are looking at 9-7 or 10-6, about where the team was projected to be prior to the season, and this has been a disappointing start.

If the team wins its next 3 games that they are favored in, we will all of a sudden be top Super Bowl contenders, again.

The season has ebbs & flows -- the past 2 games put us on a downward spiral -- but I'm hopeful and confident that the team will be humbled by this experience & pick up their game moving forward.

These are three games we are favored to win by Vegas -- we could be 6-2 in a matter of a few weeks.

I'm not ready to push the panic button yet, not even close really. In fact, we're extremely fortunate that Tyron & La'el are both day to day, and we have not had any severe injuries.

Relax guys, we are not in a bad spot at this point in the season. The team must humble themselves, adjust & adapt, and become better for the end of the season.

But, a loss to NYJ would certainly change my tone.

As much as I love my cowboys, after last week against the packers all the wind was taken out of my sails. I left my dad's house after dinner and went straight to bed, I even accidentally stepped on the our little baby french bulldog on my way to the bed. I felt sick, I just wanted to lay my head down and go to sleep.

When I woke up in the morning I had an awakening quite literally. It was that moment I realized that I was way to invested in the cowboys and it was unhealthy. I will admit to buying into the 3 and 0 start and really starting to feel like we finally put it together. After the back to back loses I felt beat up, obsessed and hurt. The morning of my awakening I realized what many of us already know and that is our beloved Cowboys are snakebit and have been for a long long time. I decided that morning that I was going to just not really care anymore, because caring too much was making me sick!

At this point in time, we've all been through this crap for too many years and I'm ready to just move on and not let this stuff matter anymore... I've got to learn to put it all into perspective quite honestly and I'm sure many of us feel teh exact same way. I'm sure I will still cheer when they win, but make no mistake about it, this franchise is snakebit because of Jerry Jones! The man runs an extremely dysfunctional organization in terms of a cohesive product.
At this point I'm almost hoping that the cowboys get beat by the Jets just so we can make it stop! If we do lose to the jets this will be a HUGE embarrassment around the league and one that I'm not sure we can overcome. Jerry Jones will have to take his medicine if we lose to the Jets and there is no doubt in my mind he is going to have to look himself in the mirror and at least acknowledge that by his decisions alone we have not been able to improve and build a respectful team.

I honestly would love to see Jerry Humiliated, the man deserves it.... He has laughed in face of the true fans for 20 years with the way he has run this organization! Sure he is a great salesman, but this doesn't equate to wins.
Sorry not sorry, I'm not bothered either way when we play the jets win or lose.

Wrong.

This would be on pace for 9-6 if we got to play 3 of the worst teams in football every 5 games from here out. Instead, we've got the Patriots, Rams, Eagles twice, Vikings, Bills, Lions, and Bears still on the schedule.

The Cowboys have a lot to prove. If they don't get significantly better immediately, they're staring at 7-9.

I'll take missing the play-offs if it means we overhaul this coaching staff and drastically improve the defense.

There lies the problem. This team isn't a unit. I look at teams like the 49ers, the Seahawks, the Ravens- teams that are winning, and I see teams that love the game. They love their teammates. They love to come together. They are a true unit and they play like a unit with good chemistry. They play with a passionate energy. This Dallas team is the opposite. Everyone looks depressed on the sideline. Everyone looks like they're ready to go home. I see no energy within this team. I see no team playing. I see individuals playing. Everyone playing for themselves, but not the team. Even during the games they were winning, everyone was sitting there looking borderline suicidal. I'm not sure if there is a locker room problem or if this is on the coaching, but something has to change. A team that doesn't play together doesn't win together.

Interesting point.

This season has felt "pressurized" to me... The team started coming out tight and nervous once the "contender" talk started in earnest. Once they started struggling-- there seemed to be a "deer in the headlights" dynamic from the coaches and players. I don't get the sense that there is not unity or camaraderie in the locker room-- but it seems more like they expected to dominate every week, and when that hasn't happened, they appear shocked, surprised, and frustrated that they are having to dig down and fight and work harder than they expected to lol...

IMO-- the coaching staff bears the burden of getting the team prepared and focused every week. The team has looked bad the last two weeks. Garrett got the ship turned around last year-- so we will see if he can pull it together again-- but damn is it not frustrating to have to watch them learn the same lessons again this year. No continuity or a sense that something is being built or grown. Same issues rearing their heads and the same surprised looks on the sidelines.

Same thing, Different year.

It begins with board members saying "we can be" ?? at the break.

Ends with Jerry saying "we're not mathematically eliminated yet" LOL

Just kidding hope we prevail, otherwise Vegas will love me.:omg:

I've always wondered if the players are sitting at home thinking the same thing the fans are thinking: we're never going to win with this coaching staff.

We suck, and Garrett is our leader!!!!

Beating the Jets/Giants plus the Eagles does not make us contenders. The Eagles would be a really nice win but we are still far from contenders. Everything you say is what we have been saying the entire time under Garrett. "We need to clean up those mistakes and we can win". When will that ever actually happen? Hasn't yet. His teams are never prepared and play flat way too often, especially when it matters. Most NFL games are going to be close by nature.
Eight games in, yes it does make us contenders. 6-2 is very much the record of a contender at the mid-season point. You don't have any idea how the rest of the season will go. Did you know the Cowboys would go 7-1 the second half of last season? Hell no you did not!

The problem is, with back to back conference losses, the Cowboys are getting in the same position they were in 2017—division or bust. There’s probably little chance of getting in as a wildcard or earning a bye. To put it bluntly, the Cowboys lose all the wrong games. That’s why, despite having a decent overall record under Garrett, they seldom make the post-season.

It’s been this way for almost nine years. I don’t see Garrett reinventing himself.

Ahhhhhh, I wish I was 12 years old again.

Like you, my confidence in this team has been sorely shaken.

And guess what fellas? It's their fault for that, not mine.

Being upset with their losing doesn't make you, me, or anyone else a 'bad fan', despite what some people would try to have you believe.

The scoreboard says this:

Record against the worst teams in the league? 3-0

Record against two good ones? 0-2

How about this record they are 3-2 vs NFL teams. I'm guessing that doesn't help your agenda. Pathetic.

And yet you want to try to point your finger at "the other guy", you're right, that is "pathetic".

Don't root for the Cowboys here. Most of the morons here get mad when you do.

And nothing you've tried to say has refuted anything I said.

3-0 against the worst teams in the league.

0-2 against the good ones.

That fact clearly triggers you.

The cowboys used to toy with Steve Young, Jerry rice, Brett favre, and Reggie White

man I mis those days. I also hate always rehashing those days. Give me something new besides random big regular season wins.

Absolutely the most reasonable post Ive seen. After listening to Shannon, Steven A, and 85% of cowboys fans. This was quite pleasing.
