R.I.P Powers Boothe

some useless trivia....
Boothe played my great-great uncle in the Hatfield's and McCoy's.
Costner played my great-great grandfather. lol
that's pretty cool story bro!
Pretty sure I've tried to put the moves on one of your cousins or aunts back in the late 70's cuz I'd just got outta boot camp and was flying from San Diego, some of the Hatfield's were on that flight heading east from filming that Richard Dawson/ family feud game show ,me and her got pretty *hitfaced and drank all the beers on that flight and was smoking cigarettes while dancing in the aisle ,,, when she kicked off her shoes and started dancing in her bare feet???,,, then she tilted back her head and shook out her pretty long curly black hair laughing,,,, I was in love for about 3 hours, bro

Kevin Costner was the main character..."Devil" Anse Hatfield. he got the Emmy
Booth was Judge Valentine Wall Hatfield

it was actually a pretty good min-series.

I was born and raised in North Carolina, but my dad and his preceding family were from WVa.
They have some pretty crazy old photos. The West Virginia historical society even borrowed some for their exhibits.

Boothe is now with Paxton up at the OK Corral of Heaven. RIP Powers and Bill

Very good mini -series

Paxton and now Boothe? Man, everyone who starred in Tombstone should be allowed immortality for gifting use with such greatness.

Wow!

"Southern Comfort"... One of the great "no one has seen this" films.
I don't know if it's as good as the narrator of the clip made it sound, lol but I saw it when it came out and loved it. I was trying to remember why it wasn't more popular so I looked up some movies that came out in 1981.
An American Warewolf in London
Arthur
Chariots of Fire
Escape from New York
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Halloween 2
Friday the 13th 2
Mad Max 2
Body Heat
The Cannonball Run
On Golden Pond
Stripes
For Your Eyes Only
History of the World Part 1
Absence of Malice
The Postman Always Rings Twice
Heavy Metal, ok that one was just for us stoners

I believe I saw all those at the theater but Absence of Malice

Is it me or were movies better back then?

That is an amazing list.

We went to see "Guardians of the Galaxy II" a couple days ago.

Virtually every movie preview was either a comic book movie or some kind of "we're going to save the planet" flick. It was depressing seeing how repetitive they all were.
