Yeah I guess he's trying to bring back the Roy that played in Norman. If he succeeds, awesome, but it's more than likely all a mental thing for him. Maybe he just feels like if he's got his old number he'll play better.

Roy needs to dedicate himself to getting into better shape, physically and mentally. He needs to get back to the fundamentals, you know, how to tackle, wrap up, hit and stuff like that.
Roy played well under Campo in his rookie season. I hope this defensive staff finds better ways to use him. No way his talent just disappeared. He needs to be put in the right situations to get his confidence back. No more horse collars or shoulder bumps disguised as tackles, please. Bring guys down like you used to. Make 'em afraid of #38. If we add that element back to our defense, it could result in a couple of extra wins a season. I really believe that.

He is too tentative in everything he does. I hope everyone finds something they can firmly believe in and do the things the right way.
That doesn't mean I want it to affect the play of players on my team.
