I don't know man. It could work if we reallocate some of the base money into guarantee. Both sides would come away feeling as though it was a win.

The point is that he'd never agree to change his contract into an incentive laden contract.

I thought I read somewhere that he will not take a pay cut..

If so, there is no negotiating..

I don't see why they need to offer a contract extension:

This is his base salary for the next two seasons:

2014 12,250,000
2015 13,750,000

The team simply reduces his base to $7.5 mil this year and $5 mil next year.

Ware would not make $7.5 mil anywhere in the NFL this year.

the numbers aside, this is the only real plan. one can argue the numbers but a cut in the base is the answer. no player is gonna take the incentives deal. this saves us plenty and still pays him more than he can get on the market
