Twitter: Raiders cut Jeff Heath

I would say he goes in to the Hall As a Cowboy. he was our best DB for years. As soon as he left our defense became a dumpster fire. Rumor has it that he’s going in the Ring of Honor as soon as he retires.

Along with a statue to be displayed at an undetermined location on Stadium grounds.
Later, this statue will be replicated for his HOF ceremony. Giving Heath the first full body
HOF display. After the movie deal and Avenger action figure announcement, of course.

I would knock down that statue of Landry(who?) and put the statue of the safety that made the Cowboys relevant again.

This fanbase is so dumb. Constantly dogging on our good players, while wanting bums like Heath back on the team. Actual morons.

Pretty easy to understand why they would want to have him back-right now at FS you have an undersized FS that had a major injury late last year and a 6th round CB rookie they are converting to FS. Not exactly reassuring.

I love how everyone knocks this guy all the time when the truth is he’s been a good player his entire career. He also had 3 ints again in limited playing time, that would tie him with Diggs for the team lead. Oh and he also saved our season with the Carr fumble that one year.

Yeah, no. I’d much rather take my chances with Kazee. Injuries aside, 10 INTs in 4 years, while Heath has 11 in 8. Heath is a bum. Imagine getting cut from both the Cowboys & Raiders in back to back years. The dude is done.

I’d take him back as a ST player and backup to Kazee. Heath is solid on dime situations. Just not every down

Heath is a stellar STer very good in dime packages. He should never have been a starter, that's on us because we foolishly don't believe the S position is important. Calling him a bum is an extreme misevaluation on your part.

I actually enjoy joining in on the Heath is an All Pro jokes, but this is a pretty accurate assessment. There's no reason that he should have been more than a 3rd safety and standout special teams player. Asking more is the fault of the coaching staff.

What was really dumb was trying to replace Church at strong safety with him, when any skills Heath had shown were in coverage. That made Heath look worse than he was, and then when we switched him with Byron Jones, it made Byron look like a bad safety, too, which he wasn't.
