Raiders Release Aaron Brooks

Since everyone is mentioning good backups, I will put my vote in for the guy from Pittsburgh. Now he would be a good backup for Romo and truly know his role. Don't know what his contract is....but he did well in a pinch. Honestly, he was better then the starter, Roth...for quite awhile last year.

Brooks is sort of a rich person's Quincy Carter in my view.

LOL. Excellent analogy. Actually even Brooks looked like an All-Pro when compared to the horrid Q.

Is Jake Plummer going to be cut? I'd bring him in as a backup.

Good Idea. Im with you on that one too.:starspin Jake "The Snake" Plummer in Dallas... man that would be the day. Not only this would be a good back-up but it would be more like someone who has experience of the game that could actually teach Romo even more about being a Quarterback. I believe he would be an better option than Jeff Garcia.

We dont need to touch that guy hes proven it before hes not good besides if Romo gets hurt to you want him in the game

Jake Plummer wouldn't come to the Boys. He only wants a starting gig. It would be like having another Bledsoe on the team who was just angry over not starting and not helpful in any regard after his demontion.

I'd much rather have Anthony Wright come back in the back up role than even consider Brooks.

I think Brooks would be an ideal back-up for Romo, like it was posted earlier he has had success as a starting QB in the NFL, and with the signing of Wade as the QB coach (under which Q had his best year, and got us to the playoffs) it could work out great for us, and him for that matter.
