Al Davis and Jerry Jones...slimey and more slimey.

:)

Ya know, the piont was made a few posts above...very astutely...George is younger than Vinny was when he was the QB here.

Kinda makes ya wonder what everyone is laughing about regarding this signing.

Maybe because, although Vinny was far from great, he was never the nutbag that george was and he was also not out of the league around 5 years.

Besides Vinny could squat a huge amount of weight.:p:

Whatever happened to Tuiasopo or whatever the hell his name was?

I guess he's the odd man out, unless Al Davis pulls a Jerry Jones of a few years back and gets rid of the cheap inconsistent veteran (Brooks) and goes immediately to his youth. (i.e. Walter)

Theismann hasn't found anything he's good at since retiring, I wonder if he's available. Just look at how Palmer and Culpepper have been able to come back from leg injuries, it could happen to Joe too.

Dunno what you guys are laughing at, it wasn't long ago we signed Vinny Testaverde as a backup, and he started for us. George will probably never see the field.

Vinny and George are just in two different catergories. They really shouldn't even be in the same sentence together. Vinny has always carried himself as a professional, and seemed to be a good guy.

George is probably the biggest butthole with huge talent that has ever played QB in the league. He just is nowhere near the leader you need at QB.

The laughter is cause why would anyone want to even put up with this guy, especially with him not throwing a pass in the league for 5 years. Only Al, lol, the laughter is not as much about his age, but what kind of person he decided to bring back.

I'm going to have to uh, disagree. There's 4 pages of wisecracks about his age. Either way, I really don't care... I just don't see what the big deal is. He isn't the first over the hill QB to sign an NFL contract, and he won't be the last.

It's more that he's been out of the league for 5 years than his age. 39 year olds can still play qb in this league, but they have to keep himself in good shape. I just don't see how somebody who hasn't played in 5 years can be in NFL shape. Testaverde may be old, but he was at least good in his prime. George has a career record of 46-78.

Well, thats cool that you don't agree, the guy is just a loser and it is just funny that anyone would want him on their team with his advanced age, bad people skills, and diminished talent of being out the league for 5 years.

BTW, you kin to him? :)

LOL Espn is talking about the signing, and from their facts, the last time Jeff George took a snap, the Pats didn't win a single Super Bowl, Tom Brady had 0 starts, Michael Jordan announced his return to the NBA w/ the Wizards, and Barry Bonds was 4 homers shy of Mark McGuire's record :lmao:
