Raining int's

At least Tavon Austin looks good. It's not like he just ran by the defense for that touchdown. He made a play on a ball that might have been picked.
Defender had great coverage but played the ball poorly. Didn't high point it at all, allowing Austin to steal it from him.

I recall years in the not-so-distant past when we couldn't buy an interception, period.

This may simply be a sign that our secondary coverage has improved considerably.

Though we've finally made inroads, at long last, we now worry it's a bad thing?

I thought all the Tavon talk was just PR hype - until now.

It was. They trashed me when I kept trying to tell them. It will just spill over into the regular season and prove them wrong further more!

It's just what happens when the Goat plays. The Jeff Heath just transforms an average defense to the 85 Bears times 1,000,000.

It's raining overreactions. Gee, didn't expect that to happen during camp.

Woe is the life of a Cowboy fan.

If we have four INTs...it's not that the defense is good, it's that the offense is bad.

If we score 4 TDs instead of INTs...it's not that the offense is good, it's that the defense is bad.

Personally I hope the defense is good or better this year.
I think we can still run the ball this year even if the passing game "might" suck. And as long as we can run the ball and have a good defense...I think we have a chance.

Cam is one of the most overrated, if not the THE most overrated QB in the league - HORRIBLE completion percentage for years. Don't let him run and it's over.
I think he's wildly underrated lol, even though I agree that he needs to be more accurate.

To complete more than 1 pass a game to the clown show of a receiving corps he's had over the years is an accomplishment in and of itself. I mean, he was just over 59% last year and he had to throw to Devin Funchess almost 10 times per game. How are you supposed to be accurate with that?

Including four defensive TD's in the scrimmage.

I really want to believe that it's our defense just so I dont have to trash the offense.

Maybe the offense is good but not against our defense.

*Denial!*
It's simple, our defensive depth is much stronger than our offensive depth.

But it rarely happens in cowboys camps and their past scrimmages have been boring as **** compared to this!

I'm freaking happy.

Funchess isnt bad though, and McCaffrey had the most targets on the team, which should have artificially inflated Cam's % percentage but he's just so inaccurate that that didnt even help.

He's also had Olsen for every year of his career, and Steve Smith early on.

Cam actually has a decent receiving core. He is the clown that just can't get them the ball.

McCaffrey had the most targets because cam is the checkdown king. He can't get the wideouts the ball!

Same with he and Olsen.

I did inflate his % - Mcaffrey caught 70%. Olsen is a good player, but he's still a TE. Even he has a hard time getting open.

I agree that Cam isn't particularly accurate, but I think that singularly pointing to his completion percentage and using that as the sole reason that he's overrated ignores the entire environment around him. No OL, no WRs who get open consistently, and he's a threat other than with his arm.

The year he threw for 5,400 yards, Drew Brees completed 158 passes to Sproles, Thomas, Ingram and Collins. Jimmy Graham led the team with 99 catches and no receiver had more than 80.

Checking down is fine.
