Raining int's

The year he threw for 5,400 yards, Drew Brees completed 158 passes to Sproles, Thomas, Ingram and Collins. Jimmy Graham led the team with 99 catches and no receiver had more than 80.

Checking down is fine.

Yeah just not when its dak doing it! See how that works

At least Tavon Austin looks good. It's not like he just ran by the defense for that touchdown. He made a play on a ball that might have been picked.

Sometimes, I wish you were the GM. You straight up called it on Dak

Why do we have camp? TO GET BETTER AND HONE..FINE TUNE SKILLS. Not worried about Dak one bit. He's no different than any other player. He needs camp too. The sky isn't fallin . Camp is where the team gets better. We will do that.

Dak needs to learn how to throw the ball away in places besides out of bounds. Last year when there was pressure he seemed to always throw it out of bounds. That's fine, but you also need to throw it into the dirt at the feet of a receiver as well. Thus far in training camp, if he is knocked off the mark by the Dline his release turns funky and his mechanics turn to crap. That's when he seems to be throwing pics. Either funky delivery or late on the throw. I'm not sure how quickly he is processing his reads, but its early. Also, these receivers aren't getting open for the most part. Our DB's are really aggressive .

I did inflate his % - Mcaffrey caught 70%. Olsen is a good player, but he's still a TE. Even he has a hard time getting open.

I agree that Cam isn't particularly accurate, but I think that singularly pointing to his completion percentage and using that as the sole reason that he's overrated ignores the entire environment around him. No OL, no WRs who get open consistently, and he's a threat other than with his arm.

I'll always agree with someone that wants to paint the whole picture and not just use one box score as a basis of player performance.

I think Cam is fine. I think that a player like Dak or Jimmy G elevates his players more than Cam, but they dont have the ceiling Cam does when they are all put in a strong situation.

int's and strips of qb's for 6 turnovers.
The defense looked motivated and opportunistic.
Dak threw one up deep, and defender made better play on the ball than the wr.
The int to sideline throw to cole was the worst one by dak, ball was late, and cole was outplayed by defender.
Also i didnt like the play design, both cole and williams ran to same area by sideline, and those are the type
plays that can be pick 6 by good defender.
Cole is better on the inside, or going across field, not some sideline route.

But overall Dak looked the worse of the 3 qb's.

IMO Garrett will need an excuse. He always does and usually can craft one. "Dak isn't who we thought he was. Need to go another route at QB..." That process should only take 5 years.

Really is it too much to ask these clowns to build a scheme to attack individual defenses and put our guys in the right spot to excel. They do the same garbage every week.

Dak has room to grow and improve. My take on that is this. He's a young pup still learning the pro QB position and the 1 bugaboo he has is he hasn't learned when its ok to throw the ball away and move onto the next play. Last year he did this much more than his rookie year and its because of 2 things. One, NO ROMO IN HIS EAR..like a coach. He didn't have that and it showed(which is why they moved Kellen Moore into the QB coach position and kicked useless Wade Wilson out the door). Secondly, he felt he needed to do more with the Zeke sitch affecting his mindset on the field. It sure didn't help that Daks wr group was complete trash at times with piss poor route running. Beaze was prolly the best route runner we had.

What I saw yesterday was a shining example of something I’ve been saying for a long time. The head coach is the most important piece to a team because teams generally take on the personality of the coach. Yesterday we saw the DBs being more aggressive than ever and I think that is a result of having an aggressive position coach. Meanwhile the offense still appears low key, monotonous, and basic with a low energy, grind it out, it’s a process type of attitude. That comes from Garrett and we saw which unit was much better. I’m hoping that in short order, Richard is the head coach and can bring that fire and aggressive attitude to the whole team, not just his DBs.

It was. They trashed me when I kept trying to tell them. It will just spill over into the regular season and prove them wrong further more!

You can hold off on taking your victory lap until he a actually proves you right.

We need to figure out a way to keep him around, he is definitely creating a new culture for the DBs.

Cam is one of the most overrated, if not the THE most overrated QB in the league - HORRIBLE completion percentage for years. Don't let him run and it's over.

We will see just how overrated he is in September. I will be there live.

I seen cooper rush throw it out of bounds as well as white. Seems smart considering attempting to throw it into the dirt, at the feet, or anywhere else besides the WR or out of bounds could result in possible int's or intentional grounding.

Dak isn't doing a thing wrong.

Including four defensive TD's in the scrimmage.

I really want to believe that it's our defense just so I dont have to trash the offense.

Maybe the offense is good but not against our defense.

*Denial!*
I wouldn't put much emphasis on the blue/white scrimmage.

defense is always ahead of the offense early in camp....always. happens every year and we get the same posts every year.

That's a good sign, this is what we've needed for a few years, our secondary was horrible in past years.

Alex Smith agrees with you.:)
