I get the feeling Dallas is looking to move up in this draft anyways.

All those smoking players do a good job of not getting caught apparently...

So he will be tested more often now and another failed test (or missed test) results in a 4 (?) week suspension. This kid already has had academic problems and now a failed test? I don't know why people want him to slip to us.

Warren Sapp tested positive for THC as well. Would he have been worth pick #51? I don't condone drug use but I believe everyone deserves a 2nd chance especially kids (he is still a kid). On the other hand if we pick him and he slips up again, don't we lose draft picks now?

I think if he messes up two more times, we start getting fined and could lose picks if we keep him on our roster.

I don't think a team has ever lost draft picks because of a player yet... we had pacman and we didn't lost a pick

Remember Luis Castillo who plays for the Chargers as a DE? Yeah, well he was busted for using illegal substances, it wasn't pot but performance enhancing drugs. He was selected 28th overall. BJ Raji is the best DT in this draft and will not fall beyond the first round. What about the corner Talib last year? Still a first rounder.

Repeat after me. BJ Rajii will be selected in round 1 of the 2009 NFL draft.

Now how far could he slip as a result of this?

Everyone smokes in the league, I'd even say around 70% of players do it. Interesting to see how this affects his stock.
Ask Antaaj Hawthorne.

He'll fall, but not that far.

There had to be MUCH more to Hawthorne falling than dope. Plus, it looks like everyone was right about him. Haven't heard that name called since the draft of that year.

From what I understand, he has been caught on multiple occasions in college. Now again before the combine. This guy is an idiot and shouldn't be on our draft board.

See im the other way around.

Nothing against pot smokers because I think it should be legal but thats another story.

If he had an injury and felt pressure to take a performance enhancing drug to increase his stock than I can understand.

But smoking pot before the combine is just not worth risking all that money.

Both are wrong but the performance enhancer gets more of a pass in my book.

At least with the performance enhancer you are increasing your chances of making more money.

Either one is self defeating. I'd rather not use the word stupid but...

Maybe he'll slip crazy style as Anttaj Hawthorne did. I remember people talking him up as a day one type talent and he fell all the way to the 6th rd.

talk about blast from the past

If its performance enhancing, I agree.

If its marijuana, who cares?

As long as Goodell is still suspending players for using pot, then whichever team drafts him should care.

An incredible lack of judgment. And if he displays this type of judgment at a critical time like the combine, what makes you think it's going to be any different when the team needs him in the line up, and he can't resist the weed?

I'd pass.

Casstillo also had an excuse. IIRC, he said he used the substance to rehab and injury.

So when is smoking weed a part of rehabbing from an injury? ;)

I dunno how someone could lose millions of dollars because they like to smoke pot. I don't think there is anything wrong with it, but if you know that you can get fired and that your job routinely test for it.

Maybe BJ got excited about the word that the state of Mass is looking to legalize pot.

I have a few friends who are bulkheads and they swear behind smoking after working out. It's been said to be a good alternative to pain killers in some circles.

I had Raji going to SF because they really don't have a 3-4 NT. I'm squashing that knowing that if Singletary has an issue with a guy who doesn't want to talk about divorce, than for sure he won't take a dude who like to get stoned.

I don't see this guy falling past the Broncos.

Hahaha, yeah!

With the 51st pick in the draft, the Cowboys select B.J. Raji from Boston College!

Don't want him.

This isn't even his first time to test positive.

If you test positive before the combine than you are an idiot.

How on earth can you screw up this bad.

I agree completely.
