I bet it was environmental traces of whatever drug might have been detected. I mean he might have walked into a wild and happenin' party or maybe was visiting a chemistry lab as part of his studies and got something on him.

dont know why its outlawed but thats another story. i dont think this would be a perennial problem. ive seen this guy a lot and he seems like a good kid. lots of players get bagged in college and a lot of times it not even reported. trust me i know guys who played and smoked like crazy. theres tons of guys in the league doing it now.

while theres nothing wrongs with smoking just for his career sake i hope and think he will nip it in the bud. i hope he drops to us but cant see it happening

You're right, weed is pretty much inexcuseable and that's why I said it wasn't weed but it was a banned performance enhancing drug. Talib last year had weed problems and he went in the first round from what I remember.

A lot of the players know how to mask pot in their system which goes to show how many cracks are in the leagues testing. A few college athletes, guys like Calvin Johnson, admitted before being drafted to smoking weed but promised not to do it anymore.

I get what you're saying but I don't think the best DT in the draft falls past the first round. I think there needs to be more made of drug abuse in the league but there will be teams that will look past it.

The guy is going to drop there is little doubt about that with the league cracking down even harder teams are going to take few risk with players with known problems. I do think he will get drafted I would not be suprised given his talent it will be in the later part of the 1st but for him that is a big chunk of change when you look at what the top of the 1st rd is getting paid as compared to the later part of the 1st.

The younger guys are naive and stupid, and that's why you have a handful every year before the combine get popped for smoking.

Just wait until you sign your million dollar contract, and get in trouble once you've signed a deal - just not before the draft. Thats just idiotic.

Yep.

IMO its not a big deal that you smoked pot. Its just a big deal that you were dumb enough to do it before the combine and risk everything.

Thats says a lot about you and where your priorities are.
