I want JFB seriously give up our first a 3rd and a 2nd next year and throw in a 7th. No I didn't look at the equation for equal value I'm just throwing it out there. I just want this kid to be the next great QB of the Cowboys for the next 12-14 years. Go ahead flame away

I don't think that would even be enough to move up from 16 to 2.

Didn't think so but hey who knows stranger things have happened. I just have a sneaky feeling JJ is going to try and snag his favorite college player to be the face of his team and sell tons of tickets and merchandise

When Cowboys moved up to take Claiborne at 6, they did so for a song. It all depends on Rams' expectations, market value, plus need. I personally would package Claiborne (former top 10 pick) and 16. Put cards on table and let Rams decide.

#2 is not where Cowboys want to be picking anyway. There is more value between 5 and 12. Manziel is not a top 5 pick, not in this draft.

It would probably take our #2 and 2015 #1. So we'd be foregoing 2 potential starters over the next 2 years. No thanks.

You don't give away a bunch of picks to move up to #2 to take the player with the biggest bust potential.

I could see if we had the 2nd pick maybe taking him because you aren't risking your draft. But if you trade up into the Top 5 for Manziel and then give up a bunch of high round picks to get there, that's a really stupid risk if you ask me.

The Rams are in really good shape right now.
They already were building a nice young roster, but this year they have a shot to separate themselves from the center of the pack going forward.
I'm envious.

The Commanders are such idiots. :)

This is a great draft to trade back in, too. Somebody's going to want their pick of the QBs, and the Rams are in a great position to cash in some more in a deep draft and on some future picks next year. It's the best possible way to build a contender.

With the Melton signing and a deep draft--especially at the dline--give me a trade down and extra picks or just staying put any day over a trade up. jmo

If they go up to get Clowney I will be overjoyed. Swap 1's.. Give up next years 1.. and this years 2nd and 2 7ths. Still leaves us with more than 7 picks this year because of the compensatory picks we should be getting and we should get a bunch next year as well for guys like Hatcher.

Now if they go up and get Johnny Football i will probably cry. He won't get to start for 3 years and I don't even think he translates well to the NFL game whatsoever.

No doubt, all of the three most valuable positions (QB, rush DE/OLB, LT) are the ones teams will be clamoring for at the top and are strengths at the top this year.
With at least 3 really good left tackles, plus Clowney, plus the QBs, the Rams can trade down some, pick up at least a 2nd rounder and maybe a 2015 1st rounder and still get a great prospect.
Perfect setup for them.
