While a die-hard Boys fan, I live in the SF Bay Area and thus find myself in conversations with a lot of local fans of the Niners (and Raiders - ugh!). In any case, I have been consistently arguing that my pick this year for the NFC West is the Rams (I am taking a shocker position to say that the Seahawks will have a let down year and not make the playoffs...but that's more bluster than actual conviction).

So, being on the west coast, I am watching the Rams Seahawks game and I must say that my POV appears to be playing out pretty starkly. Of course, the Rams still may lose this game (Seattle won't just lay down and give up and they're making a push to close the gap as I write this), but the talent that the Rams have on D is absolutely freakish! I am counting about 7-8 former 1st rounders on their D (heck, even some of their back-ups are starters in a lot of situations)...their overall defensive speed and ability to bring the heat with four down lineman is reminiscent of dominant defenses of the past...the Rams are a team to be reckoned with, particularly if Nick Foles plays within himself and doesn't make a ton of mistakes...that D will carry them to some place special this year. And Tavon Austin is just sick!

They're a team I would be worried to face in the playoffs, regardless of location.

Having said that, if there's a team there's a team set up to content with the strength of their front seven, it's us!

Go Boys!

Rams always play the Hawks tough. No surprise.

Rams OL is still terrible. Won't be real until that is fixed.

"And Tavon Austin is just sick!"
Sick as in he doesn't produce. Just 1 catch for -9 yds. 4 rushes for 17 yds.

dude...didn't u see that punt return along the sidelines??!

I heard a piece of it on the radio and was thinking that Rams defense must be maturing by now.. Sure enough they are stout..

Buffalo doesn't look to bad either

agreed...impressed with Taylor's poise at QB...nice throws today...also, the Colts remain incredibly soft up front against the run...like when we mauled them last year...they desperately need a tone setter on D. Should trade for Cam Chancellor...lol.

No! The Rams are a holographic representation of a NFL football team!

Uh...talking about the position he plays. Reciever.

uh...i am talking about PLAYMAKERS...and overall explosiveness...straight up is the dude can ball...regardless of "stats" that clearly and obviously IN THIS CASE belie is overall impact on the game WHICH I AM WATCHING...not just looking at a boxscore...

And the "great Pete Caroll" makes another bone headed call in a back2back games...lol

I remember CZ folks telling me how Tavon Austin would revolutionize the WR position in the NFL, lol

He made 1 freakin' play. 1 punt return for 75 yds. And another 1 for 6 yds. lol.
