Rams get #1 overall

Consider this, until today, we also didn't know that they were this serious about moving up. Lots of information that we're not privy to and there's little reason for the Rams to give the league that information until draft day.

The Rams probably just gave Tennessee all their Commanders picks. LOL

Tells me that the Titans were getting some serious offers.

However, to go from 15 to 1 is a lot different than going from 4 to 1.

It's definitely a factor. Big move back to LA, promoting it all on Hard Knocks, and now a brand spanking new quarterback at the top of the draft to go with it.

It may or may not work, but the marketing aspect of it all is brilliant!

If the Chargers take Ramsey it turns into a dream scenario for a trade. A team desperate for Tunsil will look to trade up. If nobody makes a good offer I would take Tunsil in a heartbeat and laugh at the rest of the NFL for the riches we have in the OLine. I just think Tunsil is TOO GOOD to pass up if he is there at 4 and nobody wants to trade

I don't think so. I don't think the Chargers value that LT position as much as everyone thinks.

By signing King Dunlap to the extension that they did, I would agree. Dunlap is a swing tackle on a good team.

I know there are bigger needs.....

But imagine having a No. 1 pick at every position on the offensive line.

LOL, wow.

I don't see Goff. Well Cowboys nor Eagles getting Wentz. I read Eagles really like Chris Hogan from Stanford - think they can get him in 3rd or 4th and learn for 2 years. Could he be an option for us?

Every year, we ALL get locked into a handful of players that are supposedly set in the top ten. We just assume that players A, B, C, and D, are locks to go somewhere in the top five, and players X, Y, and Z are locks to go somewhere in the in the remaining top ten. And yet every year, without fail, you get that player or two who were ranked by the so called experts in the teens or twenties jumping all the way up into the top ten, and the known commodities A, B, C, X, Y, Z, start tumbling.I call that the fly in the ointment.

If anything, I'm beginning to think we'll trade back a few spots. It's anyone's guess now that the first domino has fallen.

The skins thought highly of Rg3

So did a good amount of people.

However, you had people on this site insisting that these QBs were not as highly regarded as Griffin, or Winston, or Mariota.

Then, the Rams traded a Brinks truck for the 1st pick to take a QB.

There goes the theory.

This trade shook up everything. Let's say tunsil falls to us we may be able to take advantage of the titans. Two seconds and their first. We have 3 seconds and a first then.

I'm hoping Ramsey falls but this shakes up everything

If the Titans are even remotely serious about trading back up, I take whatever they give me and pass over Ramsey is a second.

Well top 2 qbs going 1 and 2..

If I were Cleveland, which is why I would get fired, I would take Tunsil to help solidify my O-Line. He could hold the RT job down and then move to LT. They have RG III, so why not build O-line to protect their QB of the future if it is not RG III.

QBs are ALWAYS highly thought of by teams that are pathetically desperate for one.

That's why scrubs like Weeden, Ponder, Gabbert, Locker, etc, go in the first round.

That's weird - I heard it here that Wentz was considered a second round pick two months ago. I also heard that these QBs were not considered on the level of Griffin, Winston or Mariota coming out.

The Rams must not have gotten that memo.

Tunsil is not dropping out of the Top 10. Baltimore is very interested in an OT. Philly could go OT as well.

Baltimore would likely target him, but would only have to worry about Jacksonville, which I doubt is interested in him. The Eagles are interesting, but I wonder how eager we would be to trade up with them. I realize they have traded in the division before, but this is at the top of the draft, not the end of the first like it was for LaFleur or Spencer.

The Rams have been drafting in the top 10 picks for most of the past 40 years.

I think would think they'd be tired of it.

You see, that's exactly why this is incredible. You think it's Goff. Most think it's Wentz. None of us really know.

When Troy or Peyton or Luck or Palmer came out, we all pretty much knew who the guy was. Sure, there was a Leaf or RG3 in the conversation, but nobody doubted the NFL "look" of those guys. No guarantees, but we could see the promise.

I think a large factor is the changing landscape of the NFL. Quarterbacks - even mediocre ones - are valued commodities in today's NFL. They're in such demand that even disappointments like Sam Bradford are being paid $18 million. That fact is that you just can't get them.

I think it's indicative of a big issue with the league and I think it will play a huge role in the future of minor league, developmental football. Teams and owners will realize that more needs to be done for that position in particular and the overall health of the game.

I worry about Wentz in Los Angeles with the pressure of being the face of the franchise. Goff ran a ridiculous offense, so who knows how long it'll take to get him ready.

It's gotta be Wentz, I think. He ran a pro-style offense in college.

For the Rams? I can see it being Wentz if they want the pro-style guy to play right away.

But for me, I'm not holding the offense that Goff played in against him. I see it as a positive. He was repeatedly asked to throw and throw and throw and throw, often playing under enormous pressure and from behind. And, in doing so, proved to me again and again and again that he could perform in the clutch and under pressure. Bringing him into our circumstances and teaching him the pro game for a year or two behind Romo is ideal for me.

In large part due to their struggles at quarterback.

No trading back unless we have a willing trade partner. We don't seem to like what we will be left with at #4 so will anyone else
pay us fair value for our trash. Not Likely!
