Rams get #1 overall

Very tentative on Lynch. Doesn't really have that QB persona.

From what I read, he became a QB by default due to size and need. Very raw.

Yeah, all that dreaming by LA fans will turn into a nightmare shortly when they are looking for a franchise QB 3 years later. Tough trying to find a franchise QB when you don't have picks and a lot of holes.

And if karma swings full circle, then when they play the Titans, all of their traded picks will be at coin toss. Hopefully, ole' Pedo-stache Fisher will still be the Coach (unlikely) so that he can witness the grand mocking..

so at the 4th spot can we trade with them for 2 of their 3 2nd round picks?

Yes, but that would have them overpaying some...but < 10% (roughly..the charts are just ball-park)
They'd probably ask for our 4th. Not idea if they'd get it. Then again, their 1st and two 2nds may be enough for SD to take the bait.

Ok my mistake. Scouts and mock drafters projected him to be a 2nd rounder.

What scouts currently employed by an NFL team made this projection?

Mock drafters? You mean the guys who make projections without ever interviewing prospects and aren't held accountable for any of their assessments? Please don't tell me you take their draft projection for a player seriously?

I'm saying neither would be as good as they are at their current positions and you'd be making the line worse, not better. There's a reason that both are playing guard and offensive line isn't simply 'plug-and-play' across the board.

The whole argument is based on getting a RT. I don't see the rationale to taking Tunsil just because you believe you need a RT. If something came about where Free was done or Green didn't work out, draft another one, but certainly not at 4.

I also don't think the line necessarily gets significantly worse if you had to bump Collins to RT. Isn't that one of the reasons we are hanging onto Leary, as starter quality insurance?

And just as dumb. You're still going to sit back and ignore what just happened right in front of you? Then you deserve the **** results you get.

You think Jerry is dumb or sly like a fox. McClay will work his magic and we will have at least 9 new players for TC. I think (IMVHO)
that both QB's will be gone by pick number 3. I know SD would trade back if someone wants any remaining QB's.

And just like that................ they pull me back in!

Rams - Goff
Browns - Bosa/Tunsil
Chargers - Tunsil/Ramsey
Cowboys - Risen Rejoices

Interesting...what do the Browns do at 2. If they had their hearts set on Goff and aren't that enamored with Wentz do they trade out of 2 with Philly or San Fran? Do they take Bosa or Tunsil? The plot thickens.

Just about every NFL scout. I get that we are gun-shy after Claiborne but Ramsey is a freak of nature player.

With 3 career interceptions and 0 this past year.

This team has enough non-playmakers on defense and a big enough investment in terms of draft picks and money in the secondary already.

Jack is another 'freak of nature' player too and like Ramsey, he doesn't make any game-changing plays either.

Pass.

Don't think so I think they'd take him

I think the bounty of picks would be enough for JJ and the FO to pull the trigger on a trade. There are enough holes on the roster they would rather address.

This makes a trade down scenario more likely.

The Rams got fleeced, but it's a risk you take if see a franchise QB.

The may very have gotten fleeced but if they didn't - they've got a franchise QB for the next 15 years, 13 of those with full draft picks. Better get used to stomaching things like this because we may well have to do the very same thing down the road.

I don't want to be the Bills with good to great talent but can't find a QB and I don't see Jerry ever going through what he did after Aikman again.

If a QB is there and the old fool passes? It's obvious he's dumb as a box of rocks and that he, himself, learned nothing from his previous failures. The man failed time after time to solve his quarterback dilemma until Sean Payton bailed him out of it.

If both quarterbacks are gone before his pick? I certainly can't blame the man for not drafting a player he had no shot to get.

I have to ask, what is it about Goff's resume that looks bad to you?

I don't like his frame or his lack of athleticism. I don't like the system he's from. And other than Rodgers, quarterbacks from that school don't fare well in the NFL. I've been to Berkeley, and that place screws people up in the head.

Exactly and if I recall one of the reasons Collins started at OG was because Free was playing well and they believed it would be easier to break Collins into the NFL as an OG than an OT. With Free being decent, they had the luxury of bringing Collins along slowly. I suspect Collins to RT could very well be a possibility anyway down the road.

You must know by now that Jerry has been told by McClay, Garrett and Stephen that Romo is good till age 40 minimum.
