Rams releasing WR Cooper Kupp unless a trade materializes - Cowboy connection

Why would he leave the Rams to sign with the Cowboys? At this point in Kupps career he can pick a KC or another contender to actually play for a Super Bowl.
I mean guys go
Where the money is or opportunity. Chiefs receiver room looking thick right now. In Dallas who does he have to beat out? Tolbert?

Adams and Puka will get the majority of the touches. He is now the 3rd option if he stays

Not sure Kupp gets the kind of money some here think. He’s had injury issues and his numbers have dropped each of the last three seasons. It’s been downhill since the 2021 season.
He played well against Philly in the playoffs but something seemed off with him. The Rams moved on from Cooper for a reason.

Dumb & Dumber already believe they have their #2 in Mingo. I very seriously doubt we see him signed by Dallas

Kupp has crested the hill and is cruising towards the end of his career. Will be 32 before the season and hasn’t played more than 12 games in the past 3 seasons dealing with a multitude of injuries. IF healthy he’s an above average possession WR.

With all that said…yeah seems like a Jerry signing.

The reason they’re moving on is the injuries which have played a part in his declining numbers and the money he’s making. Plus Puka has overtaken him as the Rams number one receiver.

Older players don’t usually get healthier.

I mean if he is okay with just living an existence of no real expectations. I mean it may be that at this point in his career that is what he wants.

The Cowboys could draft a receiver in the 1st round and sign a veteran.
Drafting a WR in the 1st round is a bad idea. Even after a trade down.

Unless they are signing a vet that can come in here and make an impact that would be a waste of FA money.

I'd give up a seventh to acquire him, simply because I know the Joneses won't sign a better No. 2 receiver in free agency. I'd rather bet on Kupp than Just A. Guy.
