Why did I think this year was going to be any different than year's past?

Great to see we're doing our best to upgrade the FS position

Here comes coleman.....BP is trying his best to get this team to look like the Jet/Patriot teams that he couldn't win with.

Coleman may be a slight upgrade at FS, but he's not the player Chavous is. I hope Chavous wanted nothing to do with the Cowboys.

I would rather have Chavous in the War Room than in the secondary.

No big loss, IMO.

I'm not crying over this one but if we don't get Hope now I may start looking for a razorblade.

After he said Reggie McNeal is an elite talent in the upcoming draft and speaks highly of Seneca Wallace's future, I wouldn't want him anywhere near our war room. I would as soon rehire Larry Lacewell and give him complete autonomy.

And the hits just keep on coming. Real teams sign real players, the Moonshine duo signs crap from detroit. Go make another batch of white lightning you two idiots.

Havent we heard enough over the last few years about how its those "inexpensive players" that ya gotta find in free agency? Yeah thats done real well the last two years hasnt it? Tell me again how many playoff games these great finds have led us to in the past two years. Sky isnt falling, thats just my puke hitting the water that you hear!

Last year wasn't so bad...we signed some good players. Of course half of them promptly went out and got hurt but they were a good idea at the time.

Looks like we are back in Marcellis Wiley mode again this year though.

I'm not so sure the Cowboys were ever serious about Chavous. FS will be manned by Coleman, Davis and a draft pick.

EOE - You are off keel

We just signed a Lion Oline guy. No Ex Parcells guys yet. Tho Safety market will shrink up fast for the slow here.

This is disappointing but there are several other S's out there yet that I'd be just as happy with. Will Demps is my #1 FS choice now followed by Dexter Jackson and the guy that's probably the inevitable signing...Coleman.
If we only end up signing Coleman back there, I hope we use a draft pick on a FS like Jason Allen also or Ko also.

I just read that he will receive $4 million annually for the first three years of the 5 year deal. He is also 30 years old and not even considered the best player at his position available in free agency. Chris Hope will cost too much as will any other safety we get with the exception of Coleman. For money purposes it would be more cost effective to sign a rookie at #18 than a free agent unless it is Coleman.
