As much as I hate using numbers alone...
He started out with 1300+ yards for 6 straight seasons. He has failed to top 1200 in the last 3. Last year, he didn't even have 800 yards.
His yards/catch averages the last 4 years have been 13.0, 12.8, 12.8, and 12.4. He has a grand total of 6 plays of 40+ yards over the past 4 seasons combined. T.O. had 6 this season alone.
Besides which, he can't beat a #1 corner one-on-one if his life depends on it.

Have you seen him play all that much in recent years?
Rams fan?
I watched the Rams 3 or 4 times this last season and I can verify Holt is almost done. Asking him to be a #1 WR and do the things he once did is like asking Deion Sanders to start tackling.dcfanatic;2632890 said:Why are you sure that Holt is done?

he's Jordan. remember Jordan talks about 81 and bashes Holt cause he lives in St. Louis.dcfanatic;2633007 said:When Stephen Jackson was running thru the defense like a knife thru butter did we really get to see Holt play 'his' game?
Not to mention that the Rams offensive line stunk and Bulger was running for his life the entire season.
Plus Holt had no one opposite him last year. Avery was a rookie.
I don't dare think he's what he once was, but I think he's better than what's left in this roster if T.O. is cut.
A 3rd rounder may be a bit high, what about a 4th, maybe a 5th?
We do have a window of opportunity here with the talent on this roster and that window won't be around forever.

Jerra has never let old age and diminished skills keep him from acquiring a "big name."
