As much as I hate using numbers alone...

He started out with 1300+ yards for 6 straight seasons. He has failed to top 1200 in the last 3. Last year, he didn't even have 800 yards.

His yards/catch averages the last 4 years have been 13.0, 12.8, 12.8, and 12.4. He has a grand total of 6 plays of 40+ yards over the past 4 seasons combined. T.O. had 6 this season alone.

Besides which, he can't beat a #1 corner one-on-one if his life depends on it.

Why are you sure that Holt is done?

Have you seen him play all that much in recent years?

Rams fan?

Third rounder?!?! WHoooaaa... way too much for Holt at this juncture of his career. I would give a fifth for him though.

When you can't even beat Anthony Henry, your days as a #1 receiver are over.

I watched the Rams 3 or 4 times this last season and I can verify Holt is almost done. Asking him to be a #1 WR and do the things he once did is like asking Deion Sanders to start tackling.

When Stephen Jackson was running thru the defense like a knife thru butter did we really get to see Holt play 'his' game?

Not to mention that the Rams offensive line stunk and Bulger was running for his life the entire season.

Plus Holt had no one opposite him last year. Avery was a rookie.

I don't dare think he's what he once was, but I think he's better than what's left in this roster if T.O. is cut.

A 3rd rounder may be a bit high, what about a 4th, maybe a 5th?

We do have a window of opportunity here with the talent on this roster and that window won't be around forever.

Shhh.

I wanted him to expound on his familiarity with Holt to prove he was iJT because would have eventually said he was from St. Louis which would have been more than enough proof for the mods that he is fact iJT.

:laugh2:

If there is one Ram on my wish list it is OJ Atogwe. He is the true ballhawk FS that this secondary needs at centerfield. When was the last time this team had a true FS? And he won't come with an elite price tag either.

I like Holt but given his age I would rather take my chance with a 3rd pick.

somebody tie up jerra.

Jerra has never let old age and diminished skills of players keep him from acquiring a "big name."

I assume Jerra signs off on everything and is often the point man in acquiring "big names" that continuously flop. Well, all except T.O.

I would agree he signs off on all of them the good and the bad.

I like Holt but I can't see why we'd bring him here. We're not going to trade for him unless we cut TO and then you're cutting TO to make Roy your number one and giving up a #3 for Holt to come in and be your #2.

I could see that possibly happening, and possibly being a better deal for Dallas, simply because Holt doesn't strike me as the kind of me player that Owens is which might make the use of the weapons around Romo easier on him.

*Shrugs* Tough to say.
