So the Rams got a 3rd round pick for 28 year old Ramsey, we're MONITORING the situation of one Deondre Hopkins, who is 30 years old. It is said that possibly a 2nd round pick is what they would take. Let's break this down. Ramsey is 28 considered all pro, Hopkins is 30, still has good talent. So if there was any interest from us, you're telling me we'd give up a 2nd?? The ceiling has been set, i'm starting my offer off with a 4th round pick! Please give your thoughts.

I think this trade messed up the entire league, in a good way for teams!

I think it could definitely help us IF we do something. If we don't then it could have just made things easier for our division rivals to do something

The ceiling has not been set. LA's front office wanted to get Ramsey to his preferred destination and probably turned down better packages to do so.

That's probably true, but it still sets the price for me if i'm an owner, and what you're saying doesn't mean that teams have to accept a 3rd because their player isn't as good as Ramsey. As you said they were probably just trying to help him out and help their cap out as well

I say NO--- Keep your draft picks and go after DJ Chark who would not cost you any draft picks. Waiting on Jerry to sign a WR4 or greater like James Washington and then carefully spit out his cliches of how great that signing is. Then spin how Micheal Gallup is posed to have a awesome return from last season

I’ll believe we’re trading for Hopkins when I see it. Our front office is slow playing it so when Hopkins does get moved to another team they can say we made a “reasonable offer”. Lol! The front office buffoons are looking for bargains not difference makers. Same story, different year.

Their reasonable offer is "we're a winning franchise, we have 5 superbowl championships!" lol

I was already at a 4th round pick.

Didn't need Ramsey deal to know that. Too much money and little production last two years and 30.

The compensation has more to do with the players current contract than age. The Dolphins gave up very little for Ramsey bc they had to inherit his contract. I'm sure if somebody was offering more, they would have taken it. If we give up much for Hopkins who is constantly injred and 30, then its just one more piece of evidence proving our FO does not really know whats going on around the league........which is actually the main reason we spend our cap re-signing our own players.

A need they feel they have to make to say they've done something

So it's best to just be happy we resign our own players?? I hear what you're saying, and we WILL get him because he's injured we like those kind of players, we have a world class training staff lol

Lol, they’re not going to, nor ever were going too trade for Hopkins, nor should they. Not much you can do “dumber” than trading and paying for a 30 yo, rapidly declining WR. It requires “ as well it should” a little bit more than “I heared his name before” so let’s get him!

Positional value is not the same. WR is considered a more valuable position than CB and the situation is also not the same. Justin Tucker has less trade value than a starting QB despite Tucker being likely the best K in history in his prime.
