Ran into Mike Holmgren...

Here in Hawaii, at the Hualalai Four Seasons Resort.
Nice guy, BIG guy..........took the time to talk story with a few of us........

Showed him my "Star" tattoo and gave him **** about that playoff game we should've won except for a bad snap/hold last year............

This guy is convinced that Dallas is FOR REAL, and it's only a matter of time before the next Ring is on the Cowboy fingers. Say's it's gonna' be a SHORT time too...................

Not that I need the ex-Packer and current Seahawk coach to give me hope. But this guy is a "Hall of Fame" coach and knows his business. I mean, anyone who could tame Favre and get Seattle to a Super Bowl is a miracle worker. But he was adamant about Dallas being one of only about 4 or 5 teams that is the "real deal", built for the long haul, and is "here to stay" for a while. Not just another "free agency, salary cap", one-year-wonder/Saints/Tampa/Baltimore/Giants fluke.

Coaches aren't at the Pro Bowl talking smack about other NFL teams. We don't need Mike to tell us we have a good team, we won 13 games to show that, now we gotta put it together in the playoffs.

He had no real reason to be THAT nice. I think his statements were legit. Parcells did indeed build a great team for the long haul here so hopefully we can win a couple titles before Jerry's ego comes back full circle.

My response to the first two responses was indeed deleted, and probably should've been. Sorry 'bout that, but I agree..........why do people need to be snappy and full of put-downs over nothing???? Especially after I even said at the end "For whatever that's worth"!! I over-reacted with some bad language and again, SORRY.

Secondly, if it WERE Andy Reid, I probably wouldn't have talked to him. Really!! I despise the Eagles more than most things in life, and I wouldn't have prostituted myself out just to talk to an NFL HC. I would've cared little if it were Reid.

Never the less, it's not uncommon here in Hawaii to see a Coach or a player or two in the weeks following the Pro Bowl.

I appreciate the report. I think it would be cool to talk with NFL coaches about those sort of things, even if they're not totally sincere about it, it's cool they take the time out to talk to you about it.

Don't worry about a few morons who shouldn't even be allowed near a computer to post. Every forum has a few of those types.

I'm not saying his statements WEREN'T legit, I'm saying that at this point it should be common knowledge the Cowboys are back. What else could he possibly say, that we're pretenders?

We just won 13 games and sent 13 players to the pro bowl, we lost a playoff game (we probably should have won) by 3 points. T.O. had one of his best seasons in his career, we've got studs on defense and a good young QB.

Only The Grinch himself would be able to deny that we've got a good football team.
