We don't suck as bad as I thought we sucked. I was very pleased with the heart and hustle! We are behind the eight ball in several areas because of injury, but I really liked the simplified game plan. I think the staff is starting to create a relationship with the players and they are starting to trust each other and more importantly, play for each other. I'm not kidding myself, we aren't gonna win a SB, but I would love to see another three or four wins and use them to create excitement for next season. Tankers, no need to reply.

I like what i saw from the team. The CB still scare me a bunch as does Jaylon but the effort is there where it didn't look as if they cared previously. The release of the Poe, Worley and Griffin made a huge difference

Injuries haven't hurt this team as much as bad coaching decisions.

1. Completely changing a defensive scheme to being more complicated without training camp was dumb.
2. Playing guys who clearly suck was a terrible idea.

It really just took a long time for this defense to come together and get the non factors out of here. If we had this defense a bit earlier in the year when we still had Dak we probably have more wins.

No, I'm pretty sure injuries hurt more than anything else.

Bro! I see it too. We play well tomorrow and win I see 4-1/5-0 down the stretch. They are getting better each week. No one is going to want to play us if we do that. Mike and company finally have them believing.

Now if we lose tomorrow? Forget everything I said!! Lol

I agree tomorrow's game will decide if Dallas will be in the driver's seat for the division or will be in the cargo area, one of the worst in a bad division., according to their record. I felt at the beginning of the season, success would need to depend on the offense outscoring opponents.....but now i feel that the defense will need to keep improving and step it up several notches and hold teams down in order to win. The bright side is there is no dominant team in the NFC, all the teams have weaknesses. So if they keep improving, who knows what can happen. :starspin:

Yup. The defense has finally figured it out enough to be mediocre and give us a chance every week.
They have a workable base of players in all 3 phases right now and an offense they can consider fairly set unless a draft gem falls to them.

They badly need a new full-time punter.
They could use a kick return guy.
Those are easy.

Defensively they still need a lot. A CB at least 1 safety.
A DT and a DE(though Aldon would work quite well).
A LB.
But still that math isn't bad. You need 7 guys.
You have draft 9 picks.
You have free agency to help.
There's no reason to think the team couldn't win this division steal playoff win and then come back next year as a serious SB contender.

The benefit of say 2 playoff games is all the young guys who would gain that experience.

But we want our draft pick to be top 2..

Whaaaaa..whaaaaa..

What part of "we need to lose"..do you not understand?

Just kidding.

I know Dak is coming back. So I have stopped crying about the QB debate.

Win lose or draw..this team is not the same without him. That is clear.

And we now know Dalton on a good day can win with this team. Which is important from a team chemistry standpoint.

That is something we did not really know before.

So I want to win and in the end..what the FO does at draft time is up to what they get to work with.

So toss a coin.

Is it better to win the NFC Least?

Or better to win the draft war?

Either way..we should just take what we get and be happy. The difference b/w draft slot #3 and #10 is not going to kill us we have so many needs.

Over to you.

I can't control what they do. All I know is I want to win the next game. I'm too old to worry about next year.

Ending the season on a positive note will go a long way in getting the players on board with what the coaches are trying to instill. If the team can do that, and they know that Dak is going to be back, the arrows are all pointing up. And who knows what could happen if we make the playoffs. Be great to knock Brady and his smart *** out of the playoffs.

Hater!

I hope Dak comes back strong with similar mobility. The Dallas medical staff/reporting has been known to exaggerate recovery and underestimate damage. He is young strong kid, so I am hoping for the best.

Wish Diggs was out there gaining experience. The most disappointing injury after Dak.

We desperately need a LB and Safety. Many seem freaked out about the O-Line. I am not sure how many other games they watch outside of the Cowboys. Many teams are getting along just fine with lines that are just average.

No, no, no...........We did suck. We were probably one of the worst teams I have ever seen. Before the DT changes, before Wilson, and before LVE and Gregory got back, and Lawrence got healthy. And now the Oline is getting healthy. And the defensive players are starting to understand the system better.

Its really too bad Dak got hurt because if he was the starting QB we win this division going away and have a real shot to do damage in the playoffs. Diggs returning eventually as well. With Dak we win out from here and win another game or two we lost.
