CFZ Random Postgame Thoughts NYJ at DAL

Definitely an excellent coaching performance.
Very controlled performance. Mike knows that the defense is good, so not doing anything crazy on offense when we don't have to.

Overall, very good performance. I'll be curious to see our offense in "race car" mode when/if the need ever arises to do so.
Offensive line health is definitely an issue moving forward.

Defense looks amazingly balanced so far, but we've also only played Daniel Jones and Zach Wilson. Will also be interesting to see us against better QBs.

If you watched the game you would know that most of those were the Oline getting blown up. Several of them were whiffed blocks. Did you miss the Pollard TD called back on the GL?

You seem to be still crying like a BIATCH winning by 20 points.

How many teams with a better offense and QB have a defense like the Jets? Cowboys went conservative on purpose. Or dont you understand that either? We ran instead of passed to be conservative and kick FG's.
I agree. Look what the Jets did to Josh Allen. We won the game and were not in danger of losing at the end.

Any QB would have had trouble against this defense. The pressure is both instant and relentless. Dallas took away the run first and forced the Jets to throw against this rush. If not for one missed tackle on Garrett Wilson the Cowboys would have allowed under 100 pass yards two games in a row.

Agreed. I think Dak did a great job of getting the ball out quickly. CeeDee helped a lot by going up to get balls that were thrown a bit high.

Pass rush looks unreal to me. Imagine if Overshown hadn't been injured for the season, the defense would be even better.

Did Mazi play? Maybe I was too focused on Micah but I didn’t notice him.

Are we signing La’el Collins this week?

How bad is the Tyler Smith injury ?

2.9 ypc for Pollard
What would you be saying if this was Zeke
Pollard will wear down or get injured by December
Jets might be the hardest front we see even if we go to the SB. There’s no shame in 2.9. We still destroyed them

We WCO/TCO them to death. Dak is executing well.

It was cool seeing Lamb featured and perform.

Their front is not easy to run on.

Hopefully we can get all 5 OL healthy at some point.

Micah has earned the right to talk as much as he wants.

Pollard got too many carries. Dowdle and co not enough.

Luepke kept on showing up and making blocks.

It will be more fun when we play teams that do not tackle that well. Arizona?

Sacks and turnovers are a beautiful thing.

TE were out of the passing game plan after last weeks performance. They got red zone and a couple screens. Couple TDs for their work.

Could never seem to get the running game going. We'd try again after ripping a nice run and they would shut it down.

Didn't see a whole lot of play action. We were very conservative on offense. Very throwback look to it.

Good call by Romo on the importance of Biadasz trailing the play. Details led to no turnovers.

Aubrey was about as dominant as a kicker can get outside of coverage.

Anger is still money. Dodging the block attempt and making a strong kick was impressive. Coverage was pretty flawless.

Dowdle should have scored twice but cut the wrong way on those plays. It makes me question his Football IQ. He needs to get much better reading blocks.
Football IQ…come on …it is easy for us to see from above.
Harder to see and make a quick decision on field level and with 300 pound players coming at you.

Ever been to a game at any level. High school, college, NFL.
Many fans think they want field lever front row seats. Only to realize you can’t see the plays develop.
Especially if you are at the opposite end of the field. At times you can’t tell if it is a 1 yard gain or a 5 yard gain.

Then you see a game sitting higher up and can see everything develop.

Well if we’re talking random thoughts. A really random thought I had was the Jets’ coach is a dead ringer for Xerxes in the movie 300. Xerxes was the Persian leader in 300. If they reboot 300 and they need an actor for Xerxes then the Jets’ coach should get it. Google it, he looks a lot like him. Not really a football thought but random.

Too many carries. They should manage his load better. 15 carries and 3-5 receptions a game. Keep him fresh and healthy. That was one of the better fronts that we will see and no Tyler didn't help.
Cant limit his carries when the back ups are Dowdle and Vaughn
And this only game 2, how effective do you think Pollard will be in December and January if he is worn down all year
This is exactly why ive been asking for a legitimate back up RB

We could have pulled him in the 4th when the game was in hand. But, yes, a legit backup would be great. Cam Akers of the Rams was a healthy scratch and is on the trading block.....hmmmm

They are awesome. Their best team in decades.
