Random question: Sammy Watkins v. Dez

A lot depends on who is throwing the ball. Dez has the luxury of a Tony Romo. Sammy has E.J. You do the math.

I agree Dez has the better QB, but I don't think anyone in there right minds can put Sammy ahead of Dez, or even in the same ball park(right now). Dez is a top 5 WR in this league.

It's hard enough to match Dez's natural ability, much less the intensity he plays with.

Watkins did a ton of WCO style short passing stuff extended handoff stuff in college. Boyd was pretty bad. On the one hand he should be effective early in that role because it works in the NFL. OTOH, he needs to develop his route tree. Dez took time but is just now appearing to be a complete receiver. We will see how that manifests but Watkins is a year or two away at least from Dez's level of sophistication.
