Linebackers get concussions sometimes. Welcome to the NFL, guys. Just because Lee has an injury history, it doesn't mean his brain doesn't shake around when you hit his helmet up against another helmet.

Is the team stupid? I don't know, but that were many boneheaded plays made out there tonight. Randle sticking the ball out on first and goal; Dunbar making a ridiculous decision to return that kick; Street stepping out of bounds. Just not smart football.

3 potential turnover and no result. Stepping out of bounds is all concentration and focus.

You missed the biggest one, 12 men on the field giving them the points that was the margin of victory

Agree. A true game of dumb mistakes, and no turnovers coupled by injuries that left us in effect playing our 3rd stringers against their 1 and 2's...

Guys this season is only 4 weeks in, we are tied for first in the division and have the tie breakers. Win the division your in. Right now we are tons of injuries and players out due to suspension that changes tomorrow. Defense wins championships and I see this defense as top 10 when everybody is playing. Getting Hardy and Ro back will change this defense. While they haven't been great the past 2 weeks they haven't been as terrible either. Problem is coaches are playing conservative when we need to open it up some.

We get a bye after new England game and we add Gregory and possibly Dez back in. That will be huge.

One thing I know about this cowboys team. ....they fight all 60 minutes. There is no quit from them. Most of y'all have given up but if we lose we will make them earn it. We will be in games I don't see any blue outs.

I would change up QB and open up playbook. Run different looks on offense. Pass some on first down, don't play scared. Go down fighting.

You rattle Brady he turns to less then average QB. Y'all will see a different Cowboys team next week and we will win......24-21

They are not going to do any of the things you suggested............they are not going to change QBs, they are not going to run different looks on offense and play aggressive, they are not going to do anything but what they have done so why expect different results?

My random thought: Is Escobar that bad or is Weeden not able or willing to throw him the ball?

Yes, Escobar is that bad and so is Weeden. (Just the opinion of one man among many who feel the same.)

Poor front office decisions.
Both in allowing people to walk and to not using picks on a back-up to Romo.
Also allowing the Dez thing to go so long and him not being ready for the season.
Injuries happen. But that doesn't diminish their impact.
The Romo window is closing and someone is fiddling as Rome burns.
What strikes me is this team will go on with this struggling until they try Cassel. That may make a difference.
Then Romo will return and Dez will return and they will win just enough to be middle of the pack in the draft.
So this season of tears will be painful, and not even produce a high draft pick.
But we got three first rounders this year, so I suppose that has to do.

Weeden is not the answer.
This RBBC is not the answer.
Not having a decent back up for Romo is not the answer.
Playing Madden on a 4 billion dollar budget is not the answer.

The draft was fortunate. But then the sun shines on a dog's *** some days. Whatever that means.

It's pretty depressing. 2014 was a special year, that's for sure. I would have loved to see how it could have played out had it been called right. I do think 2015 could have been special too had we stayed healthy. It was pretty awful watching a skeleton of what this team is out there tonight. Sadly, we basically have a preseason team.

Exactly what I said to many gloating Saints fans yesterday.

That was a game you had to win when you look at the schedule and were trying to figure out where to steal wins to stay afloat before Romo came back. And we pissed it away.

- Weeden did a fine job on that last drive, but he was a dud for much of the 2nd half again

- It might be time for the front office to make a decision on Byron Jones. Our safety play is atrocious. I guess they figured with a better pass rush you could hide the fact Wilcox and Church can't cover ****.

- Our RBs are pretty average. It might be time to give Michael more snaps.

- Our vaunted OL is playing like an average OL. I get that teams are loading the box but there are times when our OL just gets their ***** handed to them. Free is back to the bad Free.

- Injuries are a huge issue but anyone denying coaching is also a factor is just blind. We lack fundamentals. We make numerous boneheaded mistakes a game. At some point you have to look beyond the players and start looking at the staff. The 12 men on the field that resulted in a FG was typical stupidity. And how come not one coach noticed Gachkar trying to run off the field with a hurt leg in OT? Brees did............... and attacked the area for the winning TD.

Romo and Bryant apparently cover up a lot of this team's shortcomings both from talent and from a coaching perspective.

PS - Oddly enough, in a night when we look bad again, Claiborne actually played pretty decently. go figure.

Cause you like to see negative instead of positive

That was actually a rhetorical question. However, it would be very rude, uh, negative of me not to respond...seeing as how you took the time to conduct a psychological profile of me (at no out-of-pocket cost).

That's a "Negative". You are wrong. By the way, you are being very negative and are thinking bad, uh, negative things about me, and I must admit, it really hurts.....in a positive, negative, neutral kind of way though.

May you continue to drink from the fountain of Wisdom and All-knowing all the days of your life. Let the church say, "AMEN"!

Its not going to be a pleasant season this year.

Losing your starting QB for an extended period of time virtually guarantees that.

This season will tell us alot about what we really have in players and coachign staff.

Tony Romo and Dez Bryant have hidden the warts on this team. They have now been completely exposed. Our scheme only works when we have superior talent. I love the way the Patriots stay one step ahead of other teams. They adjust to whatever restrictions the new CBA imposes. Garrett is stuck in the 90's and we caught some teams off guard last year.

Nothing against you but you have no idea what they are going to do. I have no idea either. We will have to wait and see

You just summed it up perfectly. They are the groups that have serioiusly let us down.

When you start breaking links in the chain, the whole thing falls apart.

Dallas allowed one link to be broken when it moved on from Murray without a good plan for replacing him.

Dez and Romo falling to injury pretty much finished off the chain offensively. The line could be better, the coaching could be better, but you're not going to be able to fix it all without those links.

Same on defense. We knew we were going to having to whether the first few weeks without Hardy and McClain. Having Gregory looked like it would help, but then we lost him. Terrell McClain was a minor link, but coupled with other losses, it has also weakened the chain.

We should be a little stronger defensively this week and then a little stronger overall after the bye when we get Dez and Gregory back. But if you are only as strong as your weakest link, we shouldn't expect much as long as Romo is out ... not making good decisions about the running game only adds to that.

This is why it hurt so bad, that catch that wasn't in the Green Bay game last January.

Yes, I'm revisiting that. I probably think about it every day.

I don't know what went right last year. It seemed like last year was the anomaly in a long stretch of mediocre years for this team. When the 2014 pre-season ended, I told my son I didn't think they'd win 5 games. They surprised me, and it was exciting. Week after week...they didn't just win games; they played well.

I thought we had the horses to go all the way with that team in 2014. I know we weren't clicking on all cylinders for 56 minutes of that Green Bay game, but there are times when that happens with any team...and it all comes down to one big play at the right time. The Patriots had to depend on Russell Wilson throwing an ill-timed interception to win the Super Bowl. We had the big play in the Green Bay game, but the right call wasn't made (in my opinion), and our hopes were ended on the Green Bay 1-yard line.

Some thought we could repeat the success of 2014, but I lowered my expectations greatly when we didn't draft a running back to replace Demarco Murray. I really thought we would; when we didn't, I was a bit stunned. That's when I started to feel that what happened in 2014 wouldn't happen again.

In addition, now we have all these players who are injured, and we really just don't look that good out there. It's not going to be easy to leave my house this week after we lost to the 0-3 Saints. Cowboy fans know we were decimated after losing so many people, but that won't matter to my family, friends, and neighbors. All that will matter to them is, they beat us. And they did, all the way. I have no excuse to offer for it.

So, I was sitting there after the game, thinking again about the catch that wasn't last January. And how large that looms, especially now....because I just don't see us getting that far this year, even if we did manage to eke out an 8-8 season and go to the playoffs. (Prove me wrong, Cowboys, please.)

One last note: I'm constantly posting that I don't like negative nancies... I don't, and I'm not trying to do that here. I'm not going to post "We're done!" or "This team is stupid!" .. Absolutely not, they're my team, and I would never call them stupid...and I won't proclaim it over until it is over. (RIP, Yogi Berra.) So, don't think I'm giving up here...that's not what this is about. Just lamenting that the window of opportunity doesn't stay open forever, and I just wonder if we missed our best chance due to a bad call on January 11, 2015.

It still hurts, and I think of it every day.

it hurts, but we also have a ton of starters and key starters out. this is the NFL. talent wins. hardy, Gregory, mcclain, dez, romo...and in the game we lost Lee, Dunbar. these are key players.

the rest are complimentary & role players asked to step up and play major roles. the limitations have limited us offensively and made us predictable and when you are predictable (just ask chip Kelly), then you are easy to defend and defeat

Yes. That's my point. Injuries, free agency losses, missed draft opportunities....nothing stays the same. You never know what the future holds, that's why that fleeting window of opportunity last January was so important. Last year was special. And to have it end that way...OMG. It was eating me up between January and now, but seeing how we're following it up, it's eating me up even more....because I just do not see us getting back to that place. (Prove me wrong, Cowboys.)

interesting Quotes...

"Now, let's be clear. This was rather predictable (in fact, we did predict this) that the running game would vanish if Dez Bryant and Tony Romo left because the respect for the passing attack of a backup QB and a stable of non-threatening vertical players would mean that every running play would be a major chore against a defense loaded up to take away your obvious only hope. Even mediocre defenses can stop an offense that is trying to survive on telegraphed intentions. It is too easy at this level to take away things like this."

but hey, garrett is riding the coat tails of romo and dez, but billicheck, tomlin, McCarthy aren't riding their QB to victories, they just faart lighting and it turns into wins.

and lets not forget about defensive failures....everyone focuses on garrett and offense, but the defensive culpability is lost in the shuffle.

"Instead, yet again, the defense did not take the ball away once. The Cowboys scoring drives started at the Dallas 14, 20, 20, and 9-yard lines. If you present this offense in its current form with fields that range between 80 and 91 yards long, you simply cannot keep up with a team that has most of its pieces. "

"For the 2nd week in a row, I will point out that the coaching staff with the better players is often the staff, which makes the better adjustments. The Cowboys, with their depleted roster are trying adjustments. They just don't have the weapons to make those decisions look like they are causing the opponents much distress"

but hey why are we throwing the ball to Williams three times in a row? but I just want to complain for complaint's sake because I couldnt' come up with a better alternative....I just want to *****!!!! (sarcasm fully intended).
