Someone tell our two bush league Safeties that the rookie Earl Thomas is providing tutoring sessions on how to properly play Safety. Class begins next week. They both need to be there.

After seeing that manly run by Marshawn Lynch to seal the deal against the Saints, I wonder if we even have that type of load carrying RB on our current roster. As much as I prop Choice, I would be all in on packaging Felix with a future draft pick to move up and take Mark Ingram. I wouldn't be surprised at all if we did some major wheeling and dealing on draft day and came out with two 1st round picks as a result. That #9 could easily turn into something higher and we could potentially end up with a lower 1st round pick as well.

Why didn't I say package Choice? Because I realize that the bigger draw is Felix... Packaging Felix with something could potentially net us Ingram. Felix has not done anything thus far that would lead me to believe he is that load carrying blue chip RB for years to come. Some other team may have a completely different opinion of him and we should take advantage of that while the opportunity is there.

As the days go by, I find myself feeling more & more that we need to make a move at RB (& I don't mean getting rid of MB3.. that's a foregone conclusion).

OL
Safety
DL
RB

They're all equally important IMO.

I think we can get by with Felix and Choice. Rbs are a dime a dozen IMO .

I want to fortify our trenches first. That will make a world of difference IMO.

Felix is far too valuable in the passing game to let go.

Don't worry, be happy.

Let Garrett worry about that. Sit back and

It's a new era...

Your trade scenario involves us dealing away Felix who actually has shown amazing burst through the hole as opposed to Choice, who on the same carries stumbles for 2 yards.

Or are you employing him to get autographs signed?

The quick answer is no, and frankly, I thought Julius Jones was pretty good today also.

Do you guys actually read or just sit there primed to type the next big witty response? Offering Choice will not net us Ingram. There's nothing wrong with trying but that's not going to get us anywhere close to sniffing Mark Ingram. Nothing says we have to make that move but I just simply feel we have two incomplete RBs on the roster. Ingram is a complete back...

Wow.. Really?

Oh that's right.. It's our off-season. I shouldn't expect anything of substance in response until draft time. I never profess to be correct but I throw thoughts out to see what others are thinking. Thanks for sharing yours... oh wait.

I need to call T.O. and ask him if he has a phone number.

How did I know you would go there before you did. So predictable... ;)

Just for you: :banjo:

Oh btw, I thought TO was old & busted? He sure didn't look old & busted in Cinci this year. :D

Not dealing Felix away first of all. And not worrying about a RB in the first or second round either. That run by Lynch was the run of his life. That is not typical of him or any other RB in the league.

We need to worry about OL and defense.

He did real good...

He was like a drifter. Nobody could control him.

I don't know, but he should go into the HOF.

I suspect this will be the overall them of the responses to this thread. For the record, I'm not a Felix hater. Yes. I do prefer Choice over Felix but I see what Felix brings to the table with his shiftiness and home run capability. That said, I just don't think was have a blue chip 20-30 carry per game RB on the roster. Perhaps we don't need one since we're more of a passing offense anyway... Felix does provide that additional option in the flats in the passing game. I guess I just feel as though we should go for the gusto if the possibility presents itself with regard to Ingram. He's an Emmitt Smith type & RBs like Emmitt are definitely not a dime a dozen.

I think Felix can do more than Marshawn Lynch with an offensive line.

Lets not sell the farm yet.

Felix Jones >>>>Marshawn Lynch

I'm guessing this is your 1st time watching him play because that run was the best run of his NFL career. He had some in college but the transition from college to the pro's hasn't gone according to plans for him which is why the Bills went with Fred Jackson and CJ Spiller over him. So do we have a running back that can make that type of run? I think every team does.

That was probably one of the best runs ive ever seen in the NFL, considering the situation.
