I'm good with this. Haley was a renegade 49er and bipolar fanatical, and Ware was overrated for what he did here. The number holds no special meaning to me.

I'm over the 88 thing. I do wish they'd stop giving out 54. And 12, 8, 22, and 74 are absolute no-no's, unless it's preseason and you need 74 for a free agent linemen that can be changed later.

Not even comparable to what I'm talking about. Haley did not have the anxiety issues that Randy may have. He also did not replace a legend within a franchise like Gregory is being asked to become.

Guess I'll just put some duct tape over the name on my Ware jersey and write Gregory. Save some money.

I don't think Gregory should worry about living up to the number of the jersey or the players in that jersey before him. I don't think he should worry about how many sacks he should try and get each season. I would rather like to see his sacks or disruptive plays occur in important game situations instead of getting two meaningless sacks at the end of games that we're down two touchdowns.

Never read that about Haley. I've read he was an *******, tho. lol

He's actually talked about it a few times when he was previously asked why he felt he wasn't in the Hall of Fame yet. The most recent time being a few months ago before the NFL made this years announcements.
